Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
ALTEK has managed to integrate into various construction and other sectors. The field in which our machines are used most is certainly the construction and especially the works on the facades and buildings of various types. We have also been able to enter other sectors such as motorway construction for the reconstruction of motorway bridges, urban works for the construction of the subway and various handling in different sectors.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
Both our mast climbing work platforms and our construction site elevators have a smart control system that allows you to follow the machines remotely to generate periodic reports useful for both control and maintenance. This remote system allows you to geolocate the machine at any time and manage many electrical faults that are reported on a display on the machine. Technical details have been added to the machines for better management and ease of use. On the mast climbing work platforms there is a 1.20 m deep walkable floor, which is larger than standard to facilitate the movement of workers and the amount of material to be loaded. The construction site lifts have sensors that allow you to weigh the load as well as a series of safety features such as an emergency stop during the descent useful for observing the presence of workers below the machine.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
Our products are: the G32 system which is a self-lifting work platform. The SK500A, SK1000A, SK1500A elevators are divided into 500 kg, 1000 kg and 1500 kg respectively.
E.E: What is the state of the market where you are currently active?
The state of the market in which ALTEK is active is certainly that of the renovation of the facades of the buildings. As an Italian company operating in the Italian territory, we can say that the market is still thriving. This is because the Italian state has allocated in recent years funds for building works with the aim of modernizing buildings and infrastructure improving energy efficiency. This has allowed a strong demand for construction machinery and a positive trend continued in recent years.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
From the various trade fairs in which ALTEK has participated, it has been possible to appreciate the current market trends. The focus is increasingly on the quality of the machines and the technologies present on them. More and more construction companies are abandoning the classic fixed scaffolding to optimize work times and costs. Many companies focus on the lightness of the materials and others on the smart appearance of the product. In our case ALTEK wants to guarantee a product that is in a defined market trend in which we have robust products designed to last even if subjected to intense work. The smart aspect in which we firmly believe has been greatly enhanced as the structural one listening to the advice and needs of the workers who use our machines.
