Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Markus Röß: Our main focus is on the areas of production, assembly, laboratory, shipping, logistics and development.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
M.R: KARL products all have a special demand for ergonomics, functionality and design, in order to achieve the best possible workplace solutions for our customers. These solutions are found with individual expert advice.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
M.R: The KARL product range consists of the following areas:
BASIC – universally applicable workplace system
SINTRO – versatile and highly functional assembly workstation system
SINTRO Packing – modular, flexible and stable workstation system for shipping and logistics
QUADRO and QUADRO twin – Premium products with excellent functionality and sophisticated ergonomics for the modern, innovative workplace for assembly, laboratory and research facilities
FIFO racks – Material supply according to the FIFO principle. Tailor-made for the requirements of lean production
Cabinet and shelving systems – First-class processed systems made of wood or steel are thus equally suitable for offices and technical work areas

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
M.R: We are present in various markets with our products. Due to the high degree of specialisation in ESD-compatible workplace and logistics systems and the ever-increasing proportion of electronic components in many industrial manufacturing products, we are looking positively to the future.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
M.R: Automation and robotics are certainly current trends that provide very good support in the field of, for example, industrial manufacturing and assembly.
However, a high level of expertise and qualitatively well-trained employees are more important. For KARL, this is an enormously important asset in order to be able to manufacture our products in KARL quality.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
M.R: We are very proud to be able to develop and produce workplace systems for our customers that are individually tailored to their wishes and needs. That’s what we call innovative.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
M.R: The first months in 2023 have been good and we are motivated and confident that we will close a successful year.
