ARKITECH, TOTAL SOLUTION FOR LGS SYSTEMS

Arkitech Advanced Construction Technologies is the technology leader for fully automated production equipment for the growing Light Gauge Steel (LGS) construction market.

The Arkitech Technology Package contains engineering solutions including LGS production lines, design software, manufacturing software, commissioning, and training on-site.

Since establishment in the year 2012 in Ankara, Arkitech’s engineers have always been developing state-of-the-art solutions responding to the demanding requirements of the LGS market for high quality and for high performance level.

Interview with Andreas Cebulsky, Sales Director Europe at Arkitech Advanced Construction Technologies.

Easy Engineering: What are newest products in your range?

Andreas Cebulsky: Arkitech’s Multi Profile Technology Packages, especially MF2500P, offer outstanding functionalities in a fully automated production line nowadays.

The different structural-physical requirements for walls, ceilings and roof trusses of different types of buildings can be optimally manufactured with individually adapted profile sections.

The MF2500P with an unparalleled range of profile thicknesses from 0.75 to 2.5 mm and profile widths from 63 to 300 mm offers the optimum range of profile cross sections for almost any building application.

E.E: Which are the most innovative / trending products and what special features do they have?

A.C: With few exceptions, the majority of the construction industry suffers from inefficiencies, due to a lack of automation, that impact not only the time and costs of builders, but also the well-being of the environment. Waste of materials, high labour costs, long construction times are some consequences of outdated construction practices.

Modular construction already has the potential to revolutionize the building process, with factory-controlled quality, reduced construction schedules and a smarter use of materials make it considerably more sustainable than conventional techniques.

Since Arkitech also supports its customers with innovative construction solutions, it was obvious to combine the advantages of Light Gauge Steel (LGS) construction and modular construction in one concept to achieve further time and cost savings and more sustainability.

E.E: How important is this new concept for the modular construction industry?

A.C: The current production or procurement of the supporting steel structure and the profile elements for walls and ceilings is a significant cost and time factor due to the manual effort involved.

The switch to modern profile production in Light Gauge Steel (LGS) construction results in enormous advantages:

  • Fully automated production of all profile elements of the metal structure
  • Significant material and weight reduction for the load-bearing chassis
  • Simple bolting connections instead of time-consuming welding, grinding and vanishing.
  • Easy recyclable surfaces through galvanizing instead of varnishing

E.E: How does your new concept differ from others on the market?

A.C: Light Gauge Steel (LGS) construction technology is over 100 years old. The automation of the production of the profile elements has its origin in the 80’s and since then it is obviously growing faster than any other construction method.

On the one hand, in the last 10 years Arkitech has upgraded the level of automation as well as the functionality, e.g., with high quality components from renowned key partners such as SEW Eurodrive and other global high-end suppliers.

On the other hand, the Ankara location in Turkey offers an environment of well-trained specialists and a comparatively economical cost environment with proximity to the European market.

This combination makes a decisive difference.

E.E: Tell us about research and development in your company.

A.C: Sustainable research and development are the main reason for Arkitech’s remarkable growth over the last 10 years. Yavuz Eren, owner and CEO of Arkitech, underlines this:

“In the field of construction, we are aiming to develop the way of building and building materials according to the demands of individual architectural cultures, of environmental effects and, getting more and more important, of natural disasters.

In this manner, we are focused on a new era of construction technology, Light Gauge Steel Construction.

Arkitech’s customers explain to us the requirements of new innovations. Since 2012, we have been listening to our customers because they are Arkitech’s right hand on site. Both sides have benefited greatly from this development philosophy.”

E.E: What impact has product innovation on your customers?

A.C: The level of automation in the production of profile manufacturing has progressed very far in Arkitech’s solutions in recent years. The other assembly steps in the prefabrication of the frames and modules still have some potential for further automation levels.

Here, Arkitech is in dialog with customers and professional partners worldwide.

E.E: What new products / solutions are you going to launch in the future?

A.C: The level of automation in LGS profile production with Arkitech’s solutions has advanced very far in recent years. The other assembly steps in the prefabrication of the frames and modules still have some potential for further automation levels.

Here, Arkitech is in dialog with customers and professional partners worldwide.

E.E: What industries do you think will grow in 2024?

A.C: Due to global population growth alone, the cost-saving Light Gauge Steel construction industry has an opportunity to grow worldwide in 2024. In addition, the need for sustainability in construction and also the consequences of climate change are creating a need for modernization of older existing buildings to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and to provide protection against today’s extreme weather conditions.

E.E: What products/solutions do you provide for these industries?

A.C: Arkitech’s range LGS production lines are state of the art and already offer our customers the possibility to noticeably increase their level of automation.

However, to get started with LGS construction, customers often initially lack experience and capacity among designers and planners. In this respect, Arkitech will continue to expand its range of services to fill these gaps.
