In this interview we would like to focus on our solutions for the light metal industry namely in the field of die casting as well as Thixomolding.
E.E: What’s the news for 2022 about new products?
YIZUMI: After a Covid related delay the die casting industry happily congregated again this June for the important Euroguss 2022 exhibition. We exhibited our newest die casting machine technology. The YIZUMI LEAP features highest international casting process performance and stability and a top class, intuitive control system. We also exhibited our improved conventional die casting machine of the H II-S series. The HII offers much improved pressure build up times as well as precise and repeatable injection. Both technologies are well suited for the European and North American market.
E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?
YIZUMI: YIZUMI offers die casting machines over the complete range. Starting with cold chamber machines ranging from 180 t of locking force up to 9000 t of locking force. Hot chamber machines we offer starting from 90t up to 400t. Finally, we offer Thixomolding machine for efficient and safe casting of Magnesium alloys in the range from 300t to 1250t with larger machines in development.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
YIZUMI: Die Casting has been a nicely growing market over the last 20 years as die casting allows to integrate additional functions into components and so helps to reduce down-stream cost of e.g. welding, riveting etc. In addition, die casting is a very cost-effective manufacturing process which is instrumental in light-weighting solutions e.g. in automotive and therefore helps in the CO2 reduction efforts of companies and governments around the world. Moreover, die casting is a favorite process for 3C productions including 5 G stations as well as in power-tools and house appliance parts.
Also, for the next couple of years the growth should be substantial in our industry.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
YIZUMI: While light-weighting has become more and more important over the last few years in the automotive industry the departure from ICE (internal combustion engine) and change towards electro mobility represents a great challenge for the die casting industry due to significant shifts in the part-portfolio of our customers. Parallel there is a trend to ever larger “structural castings” which are part of the body-in-white of modern designed cars. Ultra Large Castings (ULMs) as we call it may lead to additional growth in our industry.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
YIZUMI: Technically the most innovative product of YIZUMI is our LEAP die casting machine. This machine technology introduced to the market in 2021 was developed in a cooperation with top class experts from Europe who closely worked with our engineering team in China. This machine technology allows our customers to rely on top performing equipment at fair prices. This way YIZUMI supports our customers with solutions offering Best Return on Investment.
Besides the machine technology, YIZUMI successfully leverages our cooperation in Europe to provide our customers with support in high-end die design and casting process support with goal of ensuring highly productive manufacturing process.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the foreseeable future?
YIZUMI: Despite the many global issues we experienced recently and which affect many international companies we from YIZUMI look towards the future in a very positive way.
