Binar Handling AB is a Sweden-based developing and manufacturing company, which provides the global market with the world-leading lifting equipment Quick-Lift™ and NEO 30™.
The company develops and sells both standard and customized intelligent lifting solutions for handling of loads up to 600 kg. With a base in their patented products, Binar seeks to build optimal systems which in each single case makes the working day easier for the user. Quick-Lift™ is an electrical manipulator arm available with lifting capacity from 50 kg to 300 kg. It is also available a rail mounted version for overhead cranes with lifting capacity of 50 kg to 600 kg. Binar’s latest innovation is the NEO 30™, that is a battery-driven light weightlifting solution for up to 30kg.
Interview with Christian Frisk, Sales and Product Manager for NEO 30™.
Easy Engineering: How does your company build and maintain trust?
Christian Frisk: We are the trusted adviser that always help the costumer to find the best solution. Our company are one of the pioneers in the field of smart lifting and we provide the global market with precise lifting solutions that are designed to meet the highest standards of productivity, safety, and workplace ergonomics for companies in various industries.
E.E: Tell us about some of the most successful project/projects from around the world.
C.F: We have one costumer in north America that implements our NEO 30™ in their own customized solution, and as of today this is a huge success between our companies and it had led to more than 160 sold units.
E.E: What ranges of products/solutions were used in the project/projects?
C.F: In our North American case where our mobile battery powered NEO 30™ where used, the costumer was looking for a mobile solution and since the unique NEO 30™ is battery driven, it is easy to move around and can operate on different working stations, a revolutionary smart-lifting device that supports your business and employees. Our NEO 30™ is fast and easy to install, and it comes with a wide range of standard end effectors. With the NEO 30™ you can lift goods up to 30 kg with minimum effort and since it is safe and precise it provides users with ergonomic lifting.
E.E: How were these products/solutions used to optimize the client’s business?
C.F: In this specific case there where handling of 5-gallon buckets (22 kg) which is way too heavy for an operator to manually handle a hole working day. Therefor they saw a great need for our NEO 30™ solution and made an order over the year for more than 160 units.
E.E: What innovative features do the products / solutions have?
C.F: NEO 30™ sets the new standard of lifting goods in a fast and easy way. This innovative product was developed to meet a growing challenge on the market, where a lighter lifting solution for lower weights was absent. We listened to the market and developed a product with the same level of quality, safety, and user-friendliness, which are characteristic of the expert knowledge of Binar Handling’s team. With an easy and quick installation, the NEO 30™ can be installed in most common rail system. Just attaching the swivel to the trolley or an eyebolt and the NEO 30™ is set for use. No need of adding space and cost consuming media supply – the NEO 30™ is equipped with its own battery as the single energy source.
This lifting solution can handle goods up to 30 kg with a safe and precise movement from the operator’s hand. Also, together with the NEO 30™ a wide variety of standardized end effectors are provided as options.
E.E: What were the challenges that you encountered?
C.F: The costumer wanted a lifting solution that had a low unit weight and where light and easy to install. The real challenge we had was to produce and ship more than 160 units in that short period of time.
E.E: How did you overcome the challenges?
C.F: We worked day and night to ensure the costumer to deliver this big order on time. Since the NEO 30™ weight only 7,5 kg (17 lb) and since it is battery powered no media supply is needed, that was also very handy for the North American company that made this big order.
E.E: What are your estimations for the rest of the year?
C.F: The ergonomic requirements continuously increase in all countries worldwide with a growing demand for high quality lifting solutions that will meet these obligations. We see that this higher demand will continue grow forward and our goal is to stand strong in the frontline.
This year we also see an increased demand of our products, we will keep being a part of Fair Trades all over the globe and show everyone that our product is the best on the market and that our passion is to provide smart-lift solutions without compromises, focusing on company´s greatest assets, the employees.
