Easy Engineering: Which are the most significant projects in the history of the company?
iDTRONIC: Supplying RFID embedded readers to an PoC device manufacturer. This innovative PoC combines a small, portable Instrument; microfluidic Test Strip; simple, standardized workflow; and seamless, secure digital connectivity to the Cloud and hospital IT systems. The device replaces multiple point of care systems with a single Platform, increasing efficiency through reduced training, equipment, maintenance and test supplies. Integrates several technologies and sample types into a single Instrument, allowing for a continued development of a broad test menu across conditions diagnosed and managed in community-based healthcare settings. We supplied well over 150.000 embedded modules to this manufacturer. The device helped during the Covid time to identify covid infections via rapid PCR tests (fastest PCR test on the market)
E.E: What projects were the most challenging?
iDTRONIC: Most challenging projects are projects with customized products where a limited space is needed, but on the other hand pretty challenging reading ranges are required.

E.E: Which are the most innovative products / services and what special features do they have?
iDTRONIC: Our EMBEDDED HF | NFC Modules are one of the most innovative modules on the market. It read all common ISO14443A & ISO15693 transponders. You are able to switch between R/W (USB VCP mode) and Keyboard Emulation (USB HID mode) within an eye blink. Our set up software allows the customer to switch even to dedicated output formats and address specific memory banks on the transponders. The devices are available with a wide variety of interfaces such as TTL – UART, USB (VCP, HID or PC/SC), CANBUS, RS232 / 484 or ETHERNET
E.E: What was the research behind the products/solutions and how important is R&D?
iDTRONIC: R&D has an important role in our company, because 70% of our projects include customizations for customers. So, we have be flexible and our engineers have to be communicative not only internally, but also externally with the customer.
E.E: What products / solutions are you going to launch in the future?
iDTRONIC: We are going to launch a completely new product range of UHF RFID readers this year. The first 3 UHF RFID EMBEDDED modules haven been released a month ago and in the second half of 2023 will follow 4 more products. Those products will include not only UHF EMBEDDED modules, but also boxed devices for commercial and industrial usage.
E.E: How important are the after-sales services?
iDTRONIC: After sales is a pretty important point for our company. We are always promoting our products with a long life span, because we know that our customers rely on reliable products and need to able to expand their applications without choosing always new products.
