Evexpert focuses exclusively to manufacture high quality Electric Vehicle AC charging stations, anti-vandal, heavy duty and with most possible integrations and features.
Their portfolio includes all types of AC chargers including online or portable ones. Furthermore, they also have a platform to manage online stations and provide a possibility to charge point operators to sell the electricity to drivers via our portal.
But today, Evexpert wants to present what they call the smartest offline charger on the market. The project was started during the Chips and SMD components crysis.
Easy Engineering: What is the newest product in your range?
EVEXPERT: We call this product line EVECUBE B+, which stands for “Basic Plus”. It is derived from our “Basic” line, which originally aimed for simplicity, but highest safety standards with leading degree of protection. Apart from our S (Smart) and C (Commercial) lines running a full Linux based micro computer inside, this new product line has a very different approach.
Being offline, but capable of managing users, their consumption management, load balancing, Dynamic load management, Solar only charging, External load routing, Modbus control, Phase swapping and yet a little interactive.
Everything is packed in a Stainless steel coat with “piano” hinges so you do not see any hem (edging) from either side. Minimalistic yet beautiful, fiber laser engraved with super low consumption of 0,6 W maximum when idle! (Online smart stations with color displays can have 7W idle consumption or more.)
Designed to serve for decades.
The charger has a small 128×64 pixels OLED graphical display, but this does not limit its possibilities. You can see each user’s (RFID) consumption, also actual current to each car or simple graphs of dynamic load management that sets charging power according to your building’s actual power consumption.
You can connect it to power meters, set fixed limits or use our LoRa Wireless module with exceptional reach to control your building total consumption and not exceed it.
E.E: How important are these features for the users in their work?
EVEXPERT: Specifically, the DLM is a requirement for subsidies in many countries and it makes perfect sense. Many cars can take full power available to your house, so it is important that you dynamically control the charging to be able to run other appliances in your home or office. Simply the car is always stranded if you need to turn on something else. Automatically and in a matter of milliseconds.
E.E: How do your new products / services differ from others on the market?
EVEXPERT: We have a wide product selection including complex stations with embeded HASSIO server for very advanced Building management, Web Server and color display. But not every customer wants this.
There are many, who love simple, low consumption and no maintenance / configuration machines. And yet durable and powerful.
E.E: Tell us about research and development in your company.
EVEXPERT: We have a combination of in-house and outsourced HW, SW and FW development teams. I must admit, that creation and testing of the final FirmWare for this new product line, took us much more time than anticipated. The total lines of code in the microcontroller is more than in actual untrained ChatGPT.
E.E: What impact has product innovation on your customers? / What benefits your customers enjoy from your new product line?
EVEXPERT: Our customers can get a cost effective plug and play solution to their charging problem. They can easily restrict or split billing between several users or cars (by RFID tag management with consumption memory per key) and also utilize their solar energy and charge cars in “Solar only” mode over weekends.
One of the unique new features is External load routing. Simply, when your car is not charging, but the wallbox detects outbound flow of energy (your solar panels are producing and you are sending energy to the grid) it can switch various external loads like water heating to help our customers utilize their electricity production instead of selling it out cheaply.
Facility customers can control these stations completely over Modbus RTU.
E.E: What new products / solutions are you going to launch in the future?
EVEXPERT: With actual level of competition, we keep the good ideas under the curtain, but we develop a unique functionality for our line of portable charging stations EVELINE Max II.
E.E: What industries do you think will grow in 2024?
EVEXPERT: Smart and decentralized energy. I would love to see or even be part of local battery storages shared over small communities, where everyone could contribute with a few solar panels or their battery capacities.
