GERVASONI, INFORMAL YET ELEGANT AND CONTEMPORARY WAY OF LIVING THE HOME

Gervasoni is an established reality in the world of indoor and outdoor furniture, which has crossed the new frontiers of avant-garde and innovation in the 1990s thanks to the eclectic and unconventional creativity of Paola Navone, while still maintaining that background rich in history and tradition that has been characteristic of the company since its beginnings.

Founded in 1882, Gervasoni is a family-owned company and currently run by the third generation with Giovanni and Michele Gervasoni. It narrates an informal, elegant and contemporary world. The continuous search for the creative potential given by exclusive combinations of industrial materials, natural materials and handcrafted techniques, combined with the passion of more than 140 years of activity, has created a style recognizable worldwide.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

GERVASONI: We offer a whole range of indoor and outdoor furniture for both private and contract settings.

E.E: What’s the news about new products?

GERVASONI: For the past couple of years, we have been open to collaborations with new designers in order to bring to life furniture with different aesthetics signed by established personalities on the world scene who would propose products that would reflect their aesthetic taste and keep in line with the Gervasoni DNA. So, we started working with several names including Federica Biasi, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, Nendo, Cristina Celestino, Federico Peri, David Lopez Quincoces, Chiara Andreatti and Elena Sanguankeo, always keeping alive the now historical collaboration with Paola Navone.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

GERVASONI: Both the indoor and outdoor furniture worlds, offering versatile solutions suitable for a wide variety of contexts and all uses, from living and dining areas to the bedroom.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

GERVASONI: We can say that the company is positioned in a premium area of the market, not only because of the involvement of prominent designers, but precisely because of the attention to detail and the constant search for materials that aims to stay in step with the needs of the times, both in terms of aesthetics and finishes.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

GERVASONI: Certainly, post covid, the fact that we have spent and are spending more time at home thanks to hybrid work arrangements has led consumers to look more closely not only at the home, but also to re-evaluate the importance of multifunctional spaces and home offices.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

GERVASONI: Certainly, Gervasoni’s proposals in recent years are very innovative in terms of the material research behind the products: from furniture made of EcoTeak, a sustainable and recycled material, to the use of common materials such as leather revisited in an eco key and in novel fabrics and textures.

E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2023?

GERVASONI: Our aim is to continue to promote Gervasoni’s excellence in the world and to continue to consolidate the new corporate direction by maintaining strong collaborative relationships with designers, whether they are new or established.
