Caterina Tarrés: We also created specialized brands such as Baxtran, offering a wide range of scales for commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors; and Girwim, focused on vehicle weight control systems in motion. Additionally, we have expanded our production capabilities by integrating the companies Básculas Romero and Etibal, enhancing our portfolio with automatic weighing and packaging control equipment. This is all possible thanks to our experienced and specialized team of engineers and market experts.
E.E: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
C.T: Customized weighing systems, including the installation of load cells, indicators, controllers, and platforms. We also design commercial weighing systems such as high-quality scales for the retail industry, as well as vehicle weighing systems (static and dynamic), including Girwim systems, which is weigh-in-motion. Furthermore, we manufacture packaging control equipment.
As we provide end-to-end solutions, we also design customized innovative software for managing and analyzing weight data, integrated with production lines and recycling centers. In accordance with the same principle, we design automated weighing systems for different industrial processes.
E.E: What’s the news about new products/services?
C.T: Our weigh in motion brand, Girwim, has recently introduced high-speed vehicle weighing systems with advanced sensors and real-time data processing, ensuring precise measurements for highways and toll stations. New smart toll solutions integrate dynamic weighing with license plate recognition and automated payment systems, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing wait times.
Soon we are also launching our new checkweighers, which offer high precision and speed. They will become crucial for the food and pharmaceutical industries, as they are seamlessly integrated in production lines, thus providing real-time data and automatic adjustments. Featuring intuitive interfaces and energy-efficient components, these checkweighers will enhance any product consistency and sustainability.

C.T: It’s vast, as we are both manufacturers and service providers. We manufacture load cells, weighbridges, platforms, axle and wheel weighing platforms, indicators, weighing kiosks as well as managing software. Furthermore, we take care of the whole installation process and the maintenance of complex integrated systems.
