Interview with Göran Packwitz, CEO of HEPA SOLAR GmbH & Co. KG.

Easy Engineering: A brief description of the company and its activities.

Göran Packwitz: Anyone can be a part of this, regardless of their budget. We have our own factory where we manufacture our high-quality modules. Our professional team of engineers, workers and industrial designers are highly skilled, motivated and open to ideas and new developments.

Every single product goes through strict QC processes in order to guarantee the highest possible quality and customer satisfaction. HEPA SOLAR operates mainly in the wholesale market, delivering directly from the factory. This allows us to be more cost effective and also guarantees the best price for our customers.

E.E: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

G.P: Our main activities are development, production and distribution of new and smart PV-solutions with USP at the highest level of quality in the industry. 

E.E: What’s the news about new products/services?

G.P: We have a few innovative items such as our patented “balcony” system that combines special, smart features of the frame and is ready-to-use, fully assembled in one box. The latest development is our 3-axis sun tracker that works fully independent and follows the sun from dawn till dusk. One version for home / industrial use and one special tracker for the Caravan / Camping industry.

E.E: What are the ranges of products/services?

E.E: What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

G.P: Our market is the PV market, not for the big powerplants but for the “small pocket” while still affordable with the highest quality and efficiency. This market is very strong and growing, the demand is very big.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

G.P: We notice that the mind of the people is switching more and more to higher quality, long-lasting and reliable solutions instead if choosing the cheapest way. The actual trend for small or “balcony” solutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is going up.

E.E: What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2024?

G.P: We are expanding this year to South America, USA, Canada and have also first projects in Namibia for small, isolated solutions.
