Interview with Nicola Masarati, Sales Manager at Evel Srl.

Easy Engineering: Which are your best-selling products / solutions?

Nicola Masarati: HVLS (High Volume Low Speed [of air]) fans, “giant helicopter ceiling fans” (up to 7,00 m as diameter).

E.E: Why do users choose your products / solutions?

N.M: The HVLS fans can be installed easier comparing to a duct A/C system, they are cheaper and they can be used even during the winter as destratifiers to increase the energy efficiency. The consumption of energy is comparable to a LED bulb lamp and they can be installed progressively on existing heating/cooling systems.

E.E: What special features do your products / solutions have?

N.M: Slowly rotating at low rpm, HVLS fans of EVEL can create an air flow up to 850.00 m3/h and they can reach about 4 times their diameter, in all directions. This kind of fans can reduce the perceived temperature up to 6°C during the summer and save heating cost on average 30% during the winter, moreover they decrease the proliferation of viruses, bacteria and molds. It’s possible to manage them by remote and they are mechanical maintenance free.

E.E: Tell us a short tutorial of how a task is done more efficiently with one of your products / solutions. 

N.M: During the summer period the operators can improve the productivity in the industrial plant thanks to the better climate condition and the entrepreneur can save up to 30% in heating system costs thanks to the destratification effect.

E.E: How did your products / solutions improve efficiency for the users overall?

N.M: Increasing and improving the climate conditions of a big industrial or commercial environment the HVLS of EVEL grants a better efficiency for the users.

E.E: Give us some examples of projects in which your products / solutions were used?

N.M: There are several places where our HVLS can be installed: industrial plant, gyms, box CrossFit, Car Dealers, Airport Halls and hangar, Commercial Center… basically in every large environment.

E.E: What products / solutions were used in these projects?

N.M: HVLS fans with different diameters according to the installation layout that our Tech. Dep. issues. We offer always a tailor-made solution.

E.E: What was the feedback from users?

N.M: The best one, considering that they used to suggest to others entrepreneurs to install our solutions made with HVLS fans.

E.E: How can users work more sustainably with your products / solutions?

N.M: Refresh a big environment with an average power absorption of 3/400 Watt or save up to the 30% on the heating costs during the winter is really a sustainable way to face our time being.

E.E: What are your forecasts for the first half of 2023?

N.M: Very optimistic since we have issued 75% more projects comparing to the same period of 2022… if the trend will go ahead like this, we really hope to achieve our goals into 2023.
