AGTOS lives within the field of surface treatment. The company concentrates on designing and manufacturing of wheel blasting machines for all kinds of applications. This is why they have machines in different sizes in their program. Conception is carried out in Emsdetten, Germany, the company’s headquarters. The production is located in the Polish town of Konin.
It is a constant challenge to design the machines so that the quality of the work piece surfaces corresponds to the requirements of the customers. Furthermore, the systems have to be constructed for the required quantities of work pieces and fit into the existing space.
AGTOS also offers high-quality used shot blast plants. The extensive services include stocking and delivery of spare and wear parts. In addition, maintenance, repair and modernization is also carried out on machines from other manufacturers.

AGTOS: AGTOS is a specialist for shot blast machines due to the constant focus on the requirements of the customers. That is why customers on all five continents are working with AGTOS shot blast machines.
The potential applications of the shot blast machines reach from treatment of millimeter-sized chain parts to steel constructions structures in the size of overseas containers. Another important market is the shot peening industry. Hardening of surfaces to make them more stress resistant is a main topic.
E.E: What’s the news for 2020 about new products?
AGTOS: There a some very interesting orders in our stock. At first some roller conveyor shotblast machines for surface cleaning of steel bars, sheet metals and construction parts. More and more producers of fasteners use our equipment to prepare the surfaces of e.g. screws.
Blasting of Aluminum is more and more required within the automotive industry. We have some unique solutions and much experience in this field.
E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?
AGTOS: We have many different spare and wearing parts for machines out of our production but for competitive machines as well.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
AGTOS: Our customers belong to many different industries. Foundries, automotive, steel, concrete and machine building sectors are just some examples.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
AGTOS: Currently automation is a mega trend. This is why we sell our machines in line combined with other installations. A very interesting trend is the digitalization of service activities. VR and app solutions help us a lot to support our customers.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
AGTOS: A detail which is a very unique part of every AGTOS machine is the high performance turbine. Highly resistant materials, quick change lesser downtime let customers benefit from this development. Furthermore, our cartridge filter systems have several advantages.
