The company also produces professional butcher steels, various range of specialties with file / rasp teeth and many CNC products – thread restoring files, specific files for automotive, SKI files and many more.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Bohumír Šimek: Production and sale of our very own tools in professional quality for reasonable price.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
B.Š: We still inventing our tools as far as possible to perfection… Now we just bringing on the market new type of brake caliper file, same as complete range of thread restoring files.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
B.Š: There is a surprisingly large number of different files and rasps in our portfolio:
engineer’s files with different handles, key files, milled, machine, classic needle files or with diamond surface, saw files, precision, die makers’ rifflers, SKI files, files for musical instruments, checkering, rotary rasps and files, hand wood rasps with machine or hand cut, horse rasps, riffler rasps for woodworking, needle rasps, also butcher steels, and already mentioned thread restoring files and files for automotive industry.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
B.Š: Despite the gradual automation coming to all industrial sectors, hand tools are integral part of many manufacturing processes working with metal and wood.
Also, specific fine work often requires some kind of manual operation, because machines are unable to reach the same results as skillful hands do.
There will always be a wide range of uses for files, rasps and other hand tools.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
B.Š: Cheap goods from East with lower quality will always have their customers, but interest in top quality tools is increasing and people are not afraid to demand real quality even at a higher purchase price.
Customers are also much more interested in different specialties and many of them have already become standard assortments.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
B.Š: One of the most innovative products around are already mentioned thread restoring files. Small and very useful file made by using the most sophisticated CNC technologies. We produce them for the whole world. Milled files in general are also very popular and we are still working on improving them as far as possible… These tools are sometimes very innovative and they take file industry to completely new dimensions.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
B.Š: We are planning a major modernization of our company environment and revitalization of the area.
Although the industry and whole economy are currently in a difficult situation, we still believe that quality and conscientious work will always be valued by people all over the world.
