The AQUAFIDES group consists of three companies which are located in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Easy Engineering:What are the main areas of activity of the company?
AQUAFIDES :Validated (according to the following norms DVGW W294-2, ÖVGW M5873 and SVGW) UV units mainly installed in drinking water applications to ensure safe and healthy water to the communities, hotels, commercial buildings and the domestic market. We are serving as well waste water applications, like reuse, bathing water regulation driven and the industrial sector like Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food & Beverage, Fish farming, Greenhouse, and a lot more.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
AQUAFIDES : The AQUAFIDES group will launch the new series OptiLon, this will be the next generation of best performing validated UV Disinfection Systems with new lamp technology.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
AQUAFIDES : The flowrate ranges go form l/h up to thousands of m³/h per unit.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
AQUAFIDES:: It is still a developing stage as water shortages due to hot summers and decreasing resources caused by excessive usage. New sources have to be taken in consideration e.g. reuse of waste water for irrigation purpose, etc..
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
AQUAFIDES:: See above plus the trend for direct/non direct potable reuse with Advances oxidation processes. Endocrine disrupters are getting more relevant to be taken care of. On the other hand, the LED technology is gaining market within the point of use applications (still limited on the flowrate).
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
AQUAFIDES:: Unfortunately there is not a lot of innovation within the UV technology and system. They are more incremental steps like lamp technology, hydraulic performances, energy savings and so on.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
AQUAFIDES:: There is still a high impact due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Still, we are looking on a stable business throughout 2021.
