AR Racking is a company specializing in industrial storage systems for all types of loads with an export index above 85% and a commercial presence in more than 60 countries. AR has a technological center where the R&D+i team develops its activity and a 35,000 m2 fully automated production centre.
In Romania they distribute through their partner S.C. Amco Interdeal. Since Amco started its activity on the Romanian market in 2001 it has been become a very important player and a well-established brand on the racking market. AR Racking: AR Racking offer a wide range of high quality solutions to the market, the result of constant technological development carried out at a completely automated production plant, an R&D technological center and a a Research and Testing Laboratory, AR Lab, thanks to the collaboration with the University of Mondragón.
In Romania the AR Racking/Amco partnership provide service of advice and personalised management of projects and a product of the highest quality, guaranteed by compliance with European regulations on storage systems that regulate the raw material, structural calculation, design, etc., and local regulations.
E.E: What’s the news for 2020 about new products?
AR Racking: Innovation, excellence and quality of service are an intrinsic part of the AR Racking philosophy and our commitment to invest in the improvement and expansion of our product range is unique in the industrial storage sector.
We have our own research and testing laboratory, where we integrate various test areas for props, connectors, frames, stringers and other components, with a maximum capacity of 80 tons. Thus, our commitment, demand and ability to improve our own product range is firm.
E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?
AR Racking: Among the multiple and varied storage solutions that AR Racking offers, Adjustable Pallet Racking, Long Span, Drive In/Through and semi-automatic Shuttle systems stand out due to their high sales level. It is equally important to note the remarkable increase in integration projects that AR Racking has been carrying out in recent years, installing Clad-Rack buildings and automatic warehouses.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
AR Racking: Each market has evolved by the virtue of its own needs. However, there is no doubt that globally customers need to improve the entire process, from production to delivery to the end customer and that’s where the choice of an efficient and flexible storage solution according to the needs of the customer’s logistics process is essential.
Romania is still one of the fastest is still one of the fastest growing economies in the EU with a with a continuous GDP growth of 4-5%. Although, the economy is expected to contract this year, activity is expected to recover in 2021.
In general, and in Romania, this year industrial production is dropping however retail and in particular consumer good and pharmaceutical sectors are rising and creating an important demand for large, complex and flexible storage solutions.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
AR Racking: Recent uncertainties and disruptions on global supply chains caused by the Covid 19 pandemic and the current political and economic climate, makes it difficult to take long term decisions and increases the need for flexible storage on demand.
In this context AR Racking will continue to be extra demanding on the quality of its products and services, the rigor of the processes, and its own commitment to innovation and technology.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
AR Racking: AR Racking offers uprights and beams featuring a traceability marking which is unique in the in the sector. For the end costumer this means greater assurance by having an innovative product standardisation system, added safety, fewer potential errors and detection and quick solution of problems.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2020?
AR Racking: AR Racking have experienced a constant, progressive, and solid growth for more than a decade now. This year is obviously marked by the Covid-19 pandemic and a negative global growth, however, in these times of change, unknown scenarios and rigorous contexts AR Racking is positioned as a reliable company with great organizational strength and through a high of diversification and global presence we estimate a stable and consolidated presence in the markets in which we have a presence.
