Aroja Xorfex is a leader in the development and supply of the tailormade solutions of industrial digital inkjet printing machines and dedicated equipment with a history since 2005. Among their solutions are supply of digital inkjet printing technology for printing on large-format panels, rotary objects, stickers, labels and special custom-made solutions to worldwide customers.
Interview with Jan Skopik, Co-Owner of AROJA XORFEX.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Jan Skopik: The main activities are the development, production and installation of tailor-made solution of digital inkjet systems and especially there, where we have to achieve either special conditions for printing like upside down position of printing heads or extremely high printing speed connected with online sourcing from different sources and databases are requested, or where special adaptation of the digital inkjet system are needed.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
J.S: Our last development is in the automotive industry sector and in detail, we have developed and produced machines enabling digital inkjet printing for producers of airbag references on sun visors. This technology is already validated by VW Group, BMW and in progress are the Stellantis Group and Daimler. The reason for this application is the enormous savings in application of the Airbag references related to thermal transfer application, where the producer can save up to 50% of cost by productivity up to 19 000 000 pcs annually. The second huge advantage is the personification and general flexibility in production without any need for mechanical adjustment.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
J.S: Our company Aroja Xorfex is involved in managing each device of the digital inkjet technology and for that reason we need to be a part of deep development of each component and systems. The hardware and electronics are only one part of the business. The most important one and even very sensitive is the software and its outputs.
In short past we developed and installed high speed technology for generating and printing of data matrix and QR codes on each drink bottle, cans and tetra pak or any other packages by unique QR or data matrix codes beverage production lines worldwide known producers but for state and government councils to identify those codes, which could not be falsified or changed.
The producer of the drink is forced to place the code on each drink package by law and has to pay to the government treasury for each such code. At the same time beverage producers are forced by law and by government in each country to incorporate such a system into their production lines.
The QR code on the other site is identifying the content of the beverage, its best before date or much other information, which could be known to the consumer by reading this code for that related application. The reason and basic thoughts were that each consumer can have information about sensitive content of the drink like presence of alcohol, sugar, caffeine or any other important part of the drink. All that details without the need of reading the information in very small text on the beverage package.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
J.S: Personification, track and trace and identification of flow of products, medicals or sensitive substances are very important parts of our business and development. Especially in the medical or pharmaceutical sector are those requested topics on the daily basis and we developed in our daughter company GPBAX GmbH inline digital inkjet printing solution by inorganic ink on glass and borosilicate glass products like ampulas, syringes or medical containers.
This system enables very deep personification for example of active content in medical substrat in such a level that the medicament could be specially made for specific person or even specific time for application. On the other side of this application is the stability of the print on each container otherwise no-one is able to apply the right procedure or medication. The issue is solved by our unique solution using inorganic ink, which has an indestructible level of readability unless the container is completely broken down.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
J.S: I believe I mentioned several of them 🙂
One of the most challenging is the print on flat glass plates with real gold and platina. This system needed our very high effort and changes in ink system, software and electronics. Please see some picture and link.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2023?
J.S: We are preparing ourselves for input of a strategic partner, who will support us and can promote our huge knowledge in the sector of digital inkjet applications.
