The company evolves on Robotics actuators for construction of collaborative modular robotics systems and develops Mechatronic and overall robotics solutions using the most advanced technologies in sync with open-source platform.
Interview with Dr. Fabio Rossi, CEO and GM of Automationware (Part of HIND spa Group).
Easy Engineering: What’s the news about new products?
Fabio Rossi: Technology, passion, innovation, motivation are guiding us daily, in our Labs. AutomationWare deal with new disruptive technologies every day, we plan for the integration of collaborative robotics. Define with us a new way to integrate mechatronics with modular robotics. Modular robotics on EtherCat fieldbus with safety management and application control. Mobile Robotics Mobile Robotics for the transport of objects or multi-axis robotic compositions. • Attention to anti-contamination issues, full system integration templates up to certification of robotic devices or cells. • Assistance to Open Source robotics, possibility of managing robotic systems in ROS mode and construction of software interfaces for the management of drives on platforms of last generation
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
F.R: The AutomationWare product range it is oriented to give a complete solution to your application. An extended range of Linear or rotary actuators to offer solutions mechatronics complete with power drivers (new AW-Motion Series) and brushless motors o Torque actuators. Include our Axes to support the move of robots or for logistics applications. Use our E-Actuators to lift payload on AMRs or AWGs. Then our portfolio of robotics products include Cobot , High Payload Cobot , modular and scalable robotics arms , AGV , AMR ( Geek+ Portfolio) , with Safety sensors and SLAM technology .
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
F.R: We serve basically every market, but we are very much focus on Pharma, Agrofood, Packaging solution with downstream and upstreaming robotics solution and integration. We are leading on robotics vs Smart Factories and Warehouse thanks to our portfolio of AMRs, Arms, Manipulators to be applied on large dock station for logistic.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
F.R: Re-shoring in EU after the covid situation is boosting the presence of mechatronics and robotics in our European factories, Automationware is implementing robotics in large projects to supporting the new re-allocation of Ind. 4.0 factories with eye attention not just on automation but also of collaborative robotization of process.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
F.R: AW-Combo is the new leading edge technology in Robotics. This is a new mobile robotics arm , collaborative that allow users to complete end of line logistic handling up to 25 Kgs payload. We compete on this with Boston Dynamics, that is offering a similar solution for the logistic American market
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
F.R: Triple digit growth, company has already in Q1 170% growth vs Q1 2021. Our solutions are now setting a new standard on the market, positioning us in a leadership position of robotics integration in South of EMEA.
