BeClever is an IT services company focused on Digital Transformation that has been operating in the market since 2011. With theirheadquarters in Spain, BeClever operates on a global scale, with several projects implemented internationally. 

BeClever automates, secure and optimize their clients’ business processes, accelerating employee onboarding, securing application access with a least privilege approach and automating non-value-added tasks to drive productivity and improve business.

Interview with Aiert Azueta Dudagoitia, CEO BeClever.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company? 

Aiert Azueta Dudagoitia: We are an innovative IT services company, with three core areas that cover our clients’ main technological needs. Our portfolio encompasses Infrastructure & Data, Applications and Cybersecurity services, providing highly specialized services through the use of a wide range of cutting-edge technological solutions and working closely with our partners. 

CYBERSECURITY: We help organizations to complement traditional security measures with state-of-the-art ones; Identity-based Security is key to minimize the attack surface, and therefore, risk. 

INFRASTUCTURE & DATA. We leverage innovative technology to ensure application performance, user productivity and seamless coexistence in a Hybrid infrastructure, while easing transition to the cloud. 

APPLICATIONS. Specialized in automation of non-value-added manual processes using software robots and improving customer and corporate training and enablement leveraging end-to-end eLearning technology capabilities.

E.E: What’s the news about new products? 

A.A.D: Companies are in the process of transforming to meet the challenges ahead, save costs and become more efficient and more secure. Offering innovative services with a high degree of specialization that accompany our clients in their digital transformation process is part of BeClever’s DNA. 

At the same time, business changing needs are forcing companies to look for new strategic capabilities. BeClever is always one step ahead, what is reflected in our offering. 

One of the company’s main bets was made in 2015, when we started our specialization in Digital Identity Security. Another example can also be found in 2019, when we added Process Automation services using bots (RPA). Both are solutions and technologies that, at this time, were completely new to the market and would set the trends for years to come. 

While keeping in mind that at BeClever we have been successfully implementing projects based on Digital Identity Protection for several years, in the current context, this area, in which we could say we were pioneers, is more relevant than ever. The pandemic has accelerated digitalization processes at all levels. Businesses have been involved in rapid implementation of digital technologies to facilitate the adoption of teleworking in record time and without barriers. 

Identity management is one of the biggest challenges facing cyber security professionals. We are therefore committed to further progress in this area. Following a Zero-Trust approach based on the “Identity for Security” premise, BeClever makes IAM more accessible and easier to implement for organizations of any sector and size, as our proposal grows with their business. We cover the full scope with services around IGA (Identity Governance & Administration), AM (Access Management), PAM (Privileged Access Management), and we also have incorporated the latest trends like CIAM (Customer Identity Access Management) or Data Masking, to limit sensitive data exposure and thus increasing data security. 

We are constantly evolving in order to anticipate the needs of our customers. 

E.E: What are the ranges of products? 

A.A.D: As we have mentioned, our solutions portfolio is divided into three main blocks: 

Infrastructure and Data, specializing in Optimized Hybrid Infrastructures. We help companies define the most appropriate strategy based on their needs, accompanying them on their journey to the cloud where appropriate and running an efficient operation of their hybrid infrastructure. Our services range from projects related to the transition to the cloud, including migration services, expert hybrid infrastructure management services, Microsoft Active Directory projects, as well as consulting, assessment and planning of the cloud journey tailored to the company’s needs. 

Applications, with the aim of increasing competitiveness. In the era of “Business 4.0,” the search for optimization and efficiency of business processes becomes the main objective. The aim is to free organizations from repetitive and not very complex tasks, transferring these activities to technological solutions such as RPA that allow digital tasks to be automated. The expansion of teleworking and the speed of digitization of both the world of work and education is also of particular relevance, driving interest in e-learning solutions such as Moodle. We have extensive expertise in application performance analysis projects and Moodle projects as an eLearning platform. 

Cybersecurity, specializing in IAM and encompassing full services around AM, CIAM, PAM and IGA. Fundamentally, the objective is to maximize user experience and improve security by guaranteeing that the right people have the right access to the right resources at the right time (our least privilege approach will make sure anybody has only needed permissions to carry out their work, thus minimizing the attack vector in the event of security breaches). 

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active? 

A.A.D: The global crisis caused by the coronavirus has completely changed CIO priorities and associated budgets. Consequently, vendors as well as service providers are changing at the same speed to support today’s needs: cloud, hybrid work, hyper-automation and advanced security, among others. 

At the same time, the cyberthreat landscape shows a significant rise in highly sophisticated attacks targeting organizations, digital infrastructures, and individuals. 

The low cost of cyber-attacks, the ease with which they can be executed, and the high complexity of defense strategies increase the risks. 

Cybersecurity is a booming industry. Globally, various sources estimate annual market growth of between 9% and 12.4% in the period to 2023. 

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends? 

A.A.D: The technological market as a whole is advancing at an unstoppable pace, incorporating new techniques to maximize the security and productivity of organizations. 

The pandemic and the emergence of mass teleworking has consolidated the reliance on digital and hyper-connected infrastructures, which in turn has increased the playing field for threat actors. 

According to Gartner, “The top two business priorities for CEOs heading into 2022 are scaling digitization and building e-commerce, with the goal of getting back to business”. 

As a result, all CIOs will have a common set of technology priorities. They must ensure they have the technical foundations to grow and scale quickly, while dealing with the new reality of hybrid working. This will make cloud-native platforms, cybersecurity mesh and the distributed enterprise key trends that must be addressed in some form sooner rather than later.” 

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed? 

A.A.D: The IT ecosystem is one of the most innovative sectors. The technological offer is advancing at a frenetic pace; innovations and improvements are constant in order to meet the needs of the market. 

We are working on new initiatives to guarantee secure access to corporate applications while improving user experience, such as password-less or biometric access. 

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022? 

A.A.D: During 2022, our expectation is to grow by 20-25% in revenues and 15-20% in people.
