Interview with Francesco Fraschetta, Sales Manager at Bonetto Automation.
Easy Engineering: How was 2022 for your business, a short summary?
Francesco Fraschetta: We recorded a significant increase in the number of projects developed in 2002 compared to the previous year, thanks to a number of positive factors. Firstly, we continued to serve our long-standing customers, who chose to continue working with us on the development of new projects. We also won new customers who chose to work with us on their first project. This demonstrates our ability to deliver high quality solutions from the outset of a relationship. Last but not least, we have attracted new customers who have chosen to work with us on two consecutive projects: this is a sign that our product and service are of a high standard and that we are able to meet their needs effectively.
E.E: What new products/services will be launched this year?
F.F: We have developed three types of standardised, ready-to-use welding cells:

These cells are designed for welding small and medium sized components with both manual and automatic loading.
They are equipped with clamping devices to hold the components in place during welding and with extraction systems to remove welding fumes.

These cells are designed for automatic welding of components at high speeds.
They are equipped with automatic component positioning systems and advanced welding control software.

These cells are designed for automatic welding of medium/large components. They are equipped with a robotic handling system to ensure welding accuracy and repeatability.

E.E: How did the market change in the last year?
F.F: The market for bespoke projects has changed a lot.
We have had to work on organising our production processes to cope with the troubles of finding electronic material, which was proved difficult to source on the market. We also had to deal with sudden cost increases from our suppliers due to rising electricity bills. These challenges forced us to review our materials sourcing strategy, finding new suppliers and negotiating better prices with existing ones. We also had to optimise our production processes to minimise waste of electronic materials and manage our inventory more efficiently. All these measures enabled us to keep production in line with market demand, despite the difficulties we faced.
E.E: What were the best-selling products of 2022?
F.F: The transition to electric mobility is a major challenge for the automotive industry, requiring the production of increasingly efficient and economical batteries and electric motors. In this context, Bonetto is at the forefront of designing and building highly innovative and efficient systems to meet these requirements. Thanks to our experience in the sector and our technical expertise, we are able to offer customised and flexible solutions for every production requirement, guaranteeing the highest quality and reliability of our installations. In addition, we are constantly striving to improve our technologies and adopt new state-of-the-art solutions to meet the evolving needs of the market and help our customers remain competitive in a rapidly changing environment.
E.E: What sector of business do you think is expected to grow this year?
F.F: Certainly E-Mobility. This is where we are focusing these days.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
F.F: The growth of our customer base in the Electronics and General Industry sectors confirms our ability to provide high quality, advanced technological solutions to meet the specific needs of these markets. In particular, our constant commitment to offering innovative, customised and reliable products and services has enabled us to gain the trust of our customers and expand our presence in these sectors. In addition, our technical expertise and industry experience enable us to offer tailor-made solutions for every need, while guaranteeing the highest quality and reliability of our products and services.
