BTV is a family business established in 1962, with wholly owned subsidiaries in China (Jiaxing) and Mexico (Cancun). BTV is the leading company in Spain for the production of mailboxes and safes for the hardware, DIY, hospitality equipment and security specialists’ sectors.

The company’s processes are certified by the standards ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, and with them they aim to ensure an immediate delivery from the central warehouse with over 2.500 references with 9.000 m2.

BTV is a member of ESSA (European Security Systems Association) as well as AES (Spanish Association of Security Companies), and regularly tests its products in the European laboratories of reference, such as APPLUS or Instituto Giordano. Most high security safes have certifications by AENOR and ECB-S, according to EN-1143-1 and EN-14550 standards.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

BTV: The main areas of activity are Security, DIY, hardware and hospitality sectors.

E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?

BTV: We have launched several products that have technology as the protagonist, such as the Kuik Smart Living smart parcel mailboxes.

They improve the online shopper experience, by avoiding failed deliveries, as they allow the delivery and collection of parcels 365 days / 24 hours. They solve the “last mile” delivery problem, by adapting to the boom in online commerce and new consumer habits.

The integration with the main European Logistic operators, makes these smart mailboxes the only ones on the market that ensure the traceability of shipments. They are ideal for residential communities, offices and business centers. They do not need any application or internet access for installation, just an electrical outlet.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

BTV: Our catalogue has a wide variety of safes for both domestic and business use, as well as security systems, electronic locks, approved signage panels and accessories for residential communities, hotels, banks and other business sectors. In addition, the production of mailboxes that marked our beginnings is still active. We are also distributors of cylinders, fittings, electronic locks and hospitality equipment.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

BTV: It is a very traditional market in which great changes are emerging, the result of new consumer needs. Changes that go through technology and the growing importance of design.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

BTV: Technology is the undisputed protagonist of new trends. For this reason, our R&D department takes it into account in new product designs. Our commitment to innovation continues to be one of our most prominent hallmarks.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

BTV: Kuik Smart living smart parcel mailboxes, electronic locks with Bluetooth opening system and safes managed from the mobile phone.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?

BTV: We think that 2021 is a great opportunity to improve our business model.

COVID health emergency is forcing us to follow our commercial vision and adapt it to new needs quickly and efficiently. We will continue betting on innovation and reinventing ourselves, and plan to increase our sales on more than 20%.
