Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

CGM: CGM at the moment is focused on a great variety of applications such as the telecommunication, rental, domestic and military. Anyway, the company is always studying & developing new products in order to reach different markets all over the world.

E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?

CGM: This year CGM will launch the “Zero Noise” range: a series of generating sets projected & developed to reach 50dbA @ 7MT! All CGM technical team was involved in this project and it’s an outcome for those applications sensitive to the noise level.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

CGM: CGM has designed, developed and produced the following ranges of products:

  • Portable: 3000RPM generating sets equipped with the most know engines such as Honda, Briggs & Stratton and Kohler;
  • Industrial: 1500RPM generating sets produced with the most know diesel engines such as Perkins, FPT, Doosan, Badouin, Yanmar, Volvo and MTU;
  • Rental: a range of generating sets specifically designed for construction sites application;
  • Lighting Towers: available both with and without generating sets.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

CGM: The genset market, globally is going down due to the covid situation and the lower demand of electricity compared to 20 years ago, from the other point of you CGM is growing company as we are taking market slices step by step.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

CGM: Today the main topic is the fuel consumption and the emission level, CGM is able to provide complete range of products up to 1200kVA with Stage V emissions that is the best in the market at the moment, moreover we studied a range of hybrid products able to reduce the engine Hour so the fuel consumption per kW produced.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

CGM: 2021 will be a very good year for us, we plan to do a 5% turnover increase, thanks also to our new warehouse extension done in 2020.
