C.R. Technology Systems works in the energy sector since 1985, and has over 70 employees among the Treviglio headquarters, the production hub in Zanica, and the commercial branches in Viterbo, Tunisia and Cuba.
C.R. Technology Systems invests in research and development to provide new technologies, with a view to proactively improving products and processes. Their Innovation Engineering Hub offer turn-key and tailor-made solutions, for the production, transformation, and distribution of energy. This has allowed the company to gain a long experience to enter and face international markets such as South America, Africa, the Middle East and Europe, with local project management, thanks to the presence of qualified personnel.
Interview with Giulia Fortunato, Marketing & Communication at C.R. Technology Systems SPA.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Giulia Fortunato: We study and produce technologically advanced products and solutions for the generation and distribution of renewable and conventional energy.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
G.F: Our solution range is based on the changing landscape of the electrical market. We design customized solutions, according to the customer’s needs. Our new products include remote monitoring sensors for measuring temperature and humidity in electrical equipment; more resistant and sustainable equipment materials; compact skid substations solution.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
G.F: Our offer includes:
- Medium-Voltage Electrical switchgears
- Compact substations (e-house and transformation cabins)
- Fixed and mobile substations
- Skid and Kiosk transformation cabins (plug-in)
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
G.F: We are still expanding our market both in terms of geographical areas (including more European countries) and solution offer (especially in the field of photovoltaic and renewable energies).
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
G.F: The market trend is driving the world to a more sustainable and green energy, to allow each country on reducing the environmental impact and to reach a % of power independence that will grant network stability.
This will be granted by renewable energy (PV plants, Hydro & wind farms) as well as battery storage plants.
This last application is a key factor in the future with a massive production during the light time of the day, supporting the network stability and supporting the power consumptions during the dark daily hours when production from PV plants will be equal to 0 kWh.
C.R. Technology Systems is considering this segment the future pillar for a better world with less environment.
CRTS with his product portfolio will support all the electrical systems involved in this filed (from transformation cabins to electrical HV substation, fixed of mobile, to modular plug-in e-house control rooms).
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
G.F: We have developed a plug-in skid transformation cabin 4.0. It is a prefabricated plug-in compact substation, designed to elevate energy from PV plants to elevating substations.
It is a digitalized substation, including sensors and technological devices, in order to improve electrical cabin safety and remote monitoring.
Moreover, we have recently developed one of these technological sensors, called PR.E.SE. (PRedictive Electrical SEnsors). It allows constant wireless monitoring of the temperature in electrical equipment, based on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology in UHF band. They permit preventing and anticipating the trend of overheating of electrical equipment due to overload, corrosion, loose connections, and difficult environmental conditions and predictive maintenance of the electrical insulation, whose aging is particularly influenced by the increase in temperature.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022?
G.F: As the market demand has increased and we have opened a new production hub (7.000sqmt, including indoor & outdoor areas) , we intend to be every day more active and present on this market, especially in renewable and optimization of actual network stability reducing the losses, were we feel our added value and strong willingness can grant the proper and valuable support to our client and for a better and clean world.
