With their scrubber system, you can turn the cloud rising from the chimney back into usable energy. Condensation technology recovers the waste energy from flue gases and excess steam by turning steam back to water, thereby releasing a significant amount of energy.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Oskari Salovaara: Our scrubber technology with or without integrated heat pump is targeted specially to heating sector (using wood-based fuels), sawmills and process industry.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
O.S: Our systems combine thermodynamics and fluid mechanics theoretics with a sizable body of experience in the practical challenges of the energy and processing sectors.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?
O.S: Best suitable for production of 5 – 50 MW heat (Temp. 60 – 90oC). References available upon request.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
O.S: References can be found in Finland, France, Poland and soon in Sweden as well. Market area in Northern Europe, especially in Scandinavia.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
O.S: Market is really active as energy prices (including fuel prices) has arisen significantly. Also, energy efficiency and benefitting the use of excess energy/heat is on everybody´s lips at the moment. Heat without burning is available in numerous process industry sites!
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
O.S: Patented Scrubber with integrated heat pump and a “Plug&Play” delivery.
All Caligo flue gas scrubbers are delivered as complete and standard units that have already been tested and trialled as part of the manufacturing process. Unlike competitors, Caligo manufactures its systems as finished products as far as possible. This eliminates expensive field projects and saves a lot of time during installation.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
O.S: Industrial solutions will continue to grow. Traditional heat exchangers will one by one be changed to scrubbers with heat pump and thus capture the heat energy otherwise lost.
