CAM attachments is a brand with more than 50 years of experience in the attachments business. The brand was established in Italy in 1970 and joined the TVH group in 2012. The production plant in Italy is still active today, and they have now a second active plant in China. Thanks to their own R&D department and production plants, they produce high-quality attachments that meet business needs and exceed customer expectations. CAM ATTACHMENTS: Supported by its flexibility and experience, CAM attachments products successfully operate in all the main sectors of the market, such as the logistics industry, construction, food and beverage, agricultural sector, paper handling, recycling, white goods, manufacturing and foundry applications.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
CAM ATTACHMENTS: For 2021, our aim is to make small improvements to the products currently in our range to make them even more competitive from a technical and performance point of view. We will continue to develop our range, both in terms of new applications and new attachments. Our ambition is to become more and more competitive in new markets, which is why we will be increasing the number of mounting connections available on our attachments to enable them to be installed on an increasing number of machine types.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
CAM ATTACHMENTS: CAM attachments offers a wide range of attachments for different types of machines, such as forklifts, telehandlers, tractors and skid steer loaders. These attachments are the ideal tool for lifting, hoisting, tilting and shifting different loads, depending on the need. Specific products we offer are:
- sideshifts;
- fork positioners;
- rotators;
- roll clamps;
- hay clamps;
- box rotators and many more.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
CAM ATTACHMENTS: We are active in many markets, both in terms of machine types and applications. This presence in very diverse markets requires us to continuously develop new products and technologies. If we had to define the market in which we are active, we would say it is constantly developing, with new possibilities and opportunities presenting themselves to us every day.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
CAM ATTACHMENTS: Technology continues to be the largest driver of change and customers need technological advanced attachments to keep up with modern solutions. High-tech attachments can offer data connectivity that provides a way to share data with a customer, increasing overall efficiency and enabling better strategic decisions.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
CAM ATTACHMENTS: CAM attachments with goods carton clamps use the sensors technology who automatically adapt the clamping forces towards the load. The sensors are installed in a fully protected position on the board of the clamp to input the correct clamping pressure through a proportional pressure relief valve. The operator can, if needed, adjust the handling and load parameters, recalibrate the sensors and associate the opening ranges to the required pressure.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
CAM ATTACHMENTS: Over the last few years, starting in 2015, we have been growing at an annual average of 15%. Unfortunately, in 2020, because of Covid-19, we had a setback in our growth process, which we hope to resume in 2021.
