E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

Damen Shipyards: With supply chain shortages, increased activitiy for installation of renewable energy plants offshore, geopolitical tensions, the maritime and naval industries are thriving.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

Damen Shipyards: The demand for offshore installation vessels, offshore supply vessels and crew supply vessels will maintain at high level. The market for ferries is promising as a lot of older ferries will be replaced by zero emission vessels. The demand for dredging vessels will grow as a result of changing water movement that results from rising sea levels.  Fishing vessels in some areas are due to stop or convert to zero emission vessels. Fish farm vessel demand is slowly growing.
