Founded in 2001 by Amedeo Valoroso, DAT instruments is a dynamic and fast growing company that serves over twenty countries on five continents. Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Amedeo Valoroso: DAT instruments is manufacturers of dataloggers (electronic instruments to record drilling rigs data).
We manufacture datalogger for Datalogger for: Jet grouting – Grouting – TAM grouting – GIN – Compensation grouting – Drilling – MWD – LWD – CFA – Deep mixing – Soil mixing – DSM – Vibroflotation – Sand Compaction Piles – Diaphragm walls – Hydromills – Lugeon tests – Mineral Investigation.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
A.V: Our new DAT WideLog and DAT TinyLog dataloggers are touch screen, color monitor.
As every other DAT instruments product, is deployed for the construction site, it is very resistant and can be also used wearing gloves. At the same time, the big full HD monitor allows to display a lot of different data simultaneously, with graphs giving an immediate perception of the maximum, medium and lowest value; moreover, it also shows the prefixed value to which all other parameters have to tend.
The large internal memory records several data and is a totally solid state component; This fact improves the robustness and resistance to external shocks.
Data can be transmitted via USB pen drive or Internet: in fact, the DAT WideLog and DAT TinyLog are equipped with a Ethernet access and Wi-Fi antenna for Internet connection. Moreover, it is also possible to install a 3G-4G modem. During the operating phase data are transferred to every single hole, and they are available in the office in real time. They can be visualised on every kind of device: PC, smart phones or tablets; all files are compatible with Microsoft Excel e OpenOffice Calc.

A.V: DAT WideLog and DAT TinyLog dataloggers are touch screen, with color monitor. They record data of a drilling rig while performing the drill. Other products are:

Also, we manufacture all sensor required to measure the drilling machine parameters.
Easy DAT software let the Customer organize data, draw graphics and tables and print them. It is also available a function to export data.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
A.V: After depression, we can see that, in some countries, job sites are increasing. Of course, we are sorry to see that other countries are in crisis.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
A.V: We think that the market will grow. Also, the Bauma Exhibition in Munchen can be an interesting turning point, as it was in past editions.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
A.V: Our new DAT WideLog and DAT TinyLog are really innovative, as described above.
They are continuously updated with new functionalities.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
A.V: In 2022 our aim is to update our products, offering always new functionalities.
