DTA: Since 1972, our transport solutions have been used in different sectors like windmill, railway, shipbuilding, automotive, aerospace, steelmill and foundries, food and port industry etc.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
DTA: New products for 2021 are all related with AGVs but mainly for outdoors operations. Due to covid restrictions, the less people working the better so that also means a big saving for the companies so paybacks in the very short run.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
DTA: DTA designs from 1 tons up to 1200 tons. Unlike other manufacturers, I would say that DTA is the only one Company in the world capable to design a very small AGV of 1 tons up to 200 tons in electric, also hybrid transporters and we did one for the automotive industry for handling coils and dies up to 50 tons. We also do diesel transporters mainly used for shipbuilding as well as offshore industry.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
DTA: The market is asking for AGVs and we are ready for that but mainly if you need a special requirement, then ask DTA and we will do it for you.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
DTA: As said before, autonomous vehicles. This is the trend for next coming years.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
DTA: We are very proud of some AGVs that we have commissioned for a steelmill for handling coils up to 30 tons. This AGVs runs outdoors 100km/day/3 shifts. In the past 6x operators+2x forklifts/120liters/day and lots of accidents. Now, big savings, clean energy and 100% safe.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
DTA: Our expectations for 2021 is to focus on AGVs for outdoors operations. This is the future and payback for companies is within 1 year!
