Easycove had a very successful year in 2022, with a sales growth of more than double compared to the previous year. With the addition of five new distributors and the continued interest in pre-formed cove versus tedious trowel-down methods, Easycove’s patented cove base has become the go-to for coving needs in the resinous flooring industry.
Interview with Heather O’Brien, President of Easycove.
Easy Engineering: What new products/services will be launched this year?
Heather O’Brien: Easycove is eager to introduce a fast-curing adhesive compatible and highly recommended with the Easycove brand of products. Additionally, as the demand for Easycove continues overseas, Easycove expects to branch further into the European market in years 2023 and 2024 respectively. Easycove is currently looking for companies that would like to manufacture and sell the Easycove brand under license from Easycove. This would allow for a decrease in freight and make the product more readily available from country to country. It’s a great add-on to an existing manufacturing company in the flooring space and will provide increased profits and expand line cards. E.E: How did the market change in the last year?
H.O.B: Thankfully, COVID took a back seat, and the resinous flooring industry forged ahead with a backlog of projects which were unable to be completed for almost two years. Raw material costs managed to decrease during 2022, further fueling resinous flooring projects. While the supply chain still has caused small disruptions continuing into 2023, interruption to Easycove has been limited allowing for growth.
E.E: What were the best-selling products of 2022?
H.O.B: Interestingly enough, Easycove historically sees high level sales in the 100mm (4”) patented cove base. In 2022, the 150 mm (6”) patented cove base was the star of the year!
E.E: What sector of business do you think is expected to grow this year?
H.O.B: I think there is a buzz of new coatings products that will be introduced in 2023. We anticipate that Easycove will continue to grow along with the flooring market place.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2023?
H.O.B: Easycove estimates a successful year in 2023, especially for our customers – our distributors who we value immensely.
