INTERVIEW WITH ECOLLECT

The origin of the Ecollect company dates back to 1998, when Jean-Marie ALAMELLE, with 15 years of experience in the Bollards, made an observation:

“Waste-collecting wheeled bins, while useful, are unsightly and foul-smelling. »

From then on, he came up with the idea of burying the household waste collection bins using an innovative lift system.

To perfectly represent this new challenge, Jean-Marie Alamelle gave birth to the name ‘ECOLLECT’: “E” for Ecology, “collection” for collectivity and collection.

After having developed his idea around a system integrating into the urban landscape, it is by:

  • 1999 that ends the ECOBAC, with a 1st installation in the city of Carpentras.
  • 2002 the ECOBAC 360, pedestrian basket with a first installation on the prestigious site of Pont du Gard.
  • 2008 -2009 ECOHUILE, ECOTISSUS and ECOABRI complete the range.
  • 2021-2022 Creation of the 1st solar-powered ECOBAC and the Biowaste ECOBAC

Since then, ECOBAC has been revamping, decluttering public spaces and cleaning up for more than 20 years with several thousand systems installed in French and foreign hyper-city centers and on remarkable geographical sites.
