Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
EcoPhi: EcoPhi’s main areas of activity are subdivided in solar, water and agriculture. While in solar, our focus is on Off-grid systems, C&I systems, Minigrids as well as Container solutions and all-in-one systems and Energy Audits, our focus in the water area is on Electric pumping systems, Small-scale pumping systems, Water quality and Container solutions and all-in-one systems.
We develop remote monitoring for (solar) cold storages and Smart irrigation systems for agriculture as well.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
EcoPhi: EcoPhi is constantly developing new products and redeveloping our current ones. We see ourselves as technicians with a deep understanding of the peculiarities and special requirements that each system or project has in a different way.
Our boxes are therefore flexible, and we put great emphasis on developing solutions for all types of partners.
Recently we have redesigned our boxes, with a new name and new technical features.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
EcoPhi: We have developed an intelligent box system. Four different boxes allow efficient monitoring and control from small plants to complex and large projects. All boxes are GSM-enabled, plug-and-play and work even in off-grid areas or with a weak network.
With the EcoPhi Cloud platform, you can keep an eye on your plants at any time, even if they are complex or you want to monitor and control multiple projects at once. The platform is browser-based, so you don’t need to install any programs to use it and you can access the data from your Smartphone, Tablet or computer. A large number of inverter manufacturers and external databases such as weather data can be connected via API. This way you have all important information about your projects visible in one place.
Depending on your individual requirements, we provide a variety of additional services, e.g. alarms and notifications, reports, performance analyses or a matching of technicians for maintenance and repair.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
EcoPhi: With our monitoring and control solutions, we enable the efficient and sustainable operation of many systems worldwide. So far, our focus has been East Africa, where we have a good network of customers and partners in many countries. However, our solutions can be deployed worldwide and we are expanding to the Middle East as well as other regions on the African continent.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
EcoPhi: The market for renewable energy is rapidly growing and so is the market for remote monitoring and control systems like the ones we offer.
More and more areas such as the agricultural sector will benefit from this in the future.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
EcoPhi: All of our boxes are highly innovative and, compared to existing solutions, characterized by easy-plug-and-play, high quality made in Germany, robustness and flexibility.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
EcoPhi: In 2022 we will expand into new countries and build up a distributor network in the countries in which we are already active in. By the end of the year, we want to have projects in at least 20 countries worldwide.
