Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
EIIT: All our Engineering Departments, in their different areas; aeronautics, automation, special test equipment and solutions, equipment & partnerships, are focused on developing and managing cutting-edge projects to ensure that each product is manufactured in compliance with all quality and safety standards, while maintaining confidentiality and, of course, ensuring punctual delivery under the agreed conditions.
We design advanced systems for the Aeronautical sector in accordance with the specifications and requirements of our customers. We offer an extensive portfolio with a multitude of products, services, and solutions, as well as aerospace and defense projects. We apply all our testing knowledge to the aerospace industry and defense to develop systems for validation and certification of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical components.
We develop functional Test Systems that verify the correct assembly and operation of all types of high-tech electronic circuits, adding value to our clients’ and partners’ production processes.
We manufacture Automation Systems, autonomous machines and flexible production cells based on joint or customers’ specifications, to meet the needs of any project. We seek to find flexible solutions so that equipment can be reused in the future, whenever feasible, ensuring its return on investment and profitability.

E.E: What’s the news about new products?
EIIT: Because we are specialized in electronic testing and industrial automation, we recently released the new version of the XILS Series family, the XILS Extra Large Inline Handling System.
Composed by an XILS1200, an XILS800 and a XILS600, this complete and easy-to-install system is the ideal handling solution of multiple stations working in parallel but in a physical serial layout.
With fast and ergonomic fixture exchange, high handling speed and a small footprint, it is specially designed for ICT (In-circuit), ISP (Flashing) and FCT (Functional) applications and ideal for critical instruments.
The main differential advantage here is its double conveyor system, the XILS600 handler can be connected in serial line with other XILS600 handlers, avoiding the necessity of creating parallel lines in shopfloor when two or more systems are needed to cover the cycle-time necessities.
Using a built-in communication system, the handlers can communicate between themselves avoiding the necessity of additional link-conveyors with bar-code readers and buffering stations.
And to make this system using even easier, we developed a software to configurate it, a software that can be customized case by case during the product setup.

EIIT: The market we deal with is dynamic and constantly evolving.
For that reason, our team is constantly aiming at improving our products, not only following industry guidelines to meet the market’s objectives, but also anticipating new fashions and trends in order to prevent the needs that may arise, to create unique innovative solutions and to be able to adapt to all the changes and challenges that come our way.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
EIIT: Electrification market is growing more and more each year. As a result of that, electronics are taking over the manufacturing and PCB test processes, trend that will stay with us and is specially very present in the automation sector, as we can see for instance with the electric car.
We collaborate with the most important companies in automating, testing and validating their products with our systems. With the current trend we see that electronics will be implemented in a massive and general way to our life, in consumables, vehicles, among others.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
EIIT: Our unique selling offering is that we create custom made projects and products that adapt to the specific necessities our clients have.
Having said that, we could consider our In Line System Generation to be our most innovative product now, which are a series of machines prepared for the most demanding applications.
On the one hand we have the XILS800, designed to cover to your exact needs for high number of test points, large panels, and future expandability. With a wide range of PCB dimensions, high handling speed, a fast and easy setup, facilitated product changeover, flexible and adapted to different electronic test technologies, the XILS will be the best choice for your in-line testing needs.
XILS800 is a general-purpose in-line handler to integrate most powerful ICT instrumentation in the world. It supports manufacturer such Teradyne, Keysight, Checksum, TRI, and others.
On the other hand, the XILS600 is the ideal handling solution when you need multiple stations working in parallel but in a physical serial layout. Due to a special Instrumentation Sub rack with a secondary interface to the fixture, this handler is the market leader in the shortest wiring distance from instrumentation to UUT, ideal for critical instruments. These characteristics make the XILS600 the ideal handler for ISP (Flashing) and FCT (Functional) Applications.
Due to the double conveyor system (both @ SMEMA level), this handler can be connected in serial line with other XILS600 handlers thus avoiding the necessity of creating parallel lines in shopfloor when two or more systems are needed to cover the cycle-time necessities.
XILS600 handlers communicate between themselves (with previous XILS600 and next XILS600) avoiding the necessity of additional link-conveyors with bar-code readers and buffering stations. Line Setup is configurable by software and can be customized case by case during product setup.
In addition, we recently designed a software to provide our customers a reliable and fast solution that allows them to configure this system in a specific way, allowing to select different configurations depending on the needs they require, and as other important advantage, they can manage this software from their own computers.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
EIIT: We are all concerned about the problems with the supply chain, mainly that of microprocessors which is one of the legs of our business, although considering that we have been able to surpass the global situation this past two years, we are very positive about 2022.
