ELBA: ELBA offers its customers tailor-made solutions, from the design to the production of the machines and, moreover, commissioning, training and after-sales support.
ELBA machines have been designed to be flexible, technologically advanced and easy to use. The modular design allows the machines to be customized and their configuration can be upgraded at any time, to face new unpredictable market demands.
ELBA machines can produce different kinds of bags:
- SA-V can produce a wide range of pre-made pouches (side seal pouches, stand-up/Doypack®, side gusset pouches, center seal pouches);
- SA-U can produce a wide range of bags, from the simple bottom/side sealed bags to gusseted bags, boutique bags, STEB, courier bags, heavy duty bags and much more;
- SA-M HB, SA-M CH and SA-M RW can produce high tech pre-made pouches, bags and flat rolls for medical and pharmaceutical markets;
- SA-W has been designed to produce a wide range of wicketed bags like bottom gusset bags, bread bags, poultry shrink bags, hygiene bags and diaper bags (with cross handle or paramount shape)
- SA-V/TVB can produce high-barrier shrink bags with straight/curved bottom seal and side seal, with stack or taped-fan-like collection.

ELBA: Product packaging has developed an even more vital role in the Covid-19 world.
ELBA is a world leader in the manufacture of machines for the production of high quality pre-made pouches for medical and pharmaceutical markets.
The SA-M CH is one of the several machines we are currently producing: the advent of Covid-19 led to the growing demand and need for medical products and sterilization packaging.
Consumers’ priorities have moved from sustainability to protection but, as environmental awareness is re-emerging and represents another talking point nowadays, thanks to ELBA SA-V machine technology, it is possible to produce recyclable PE stand-up pouches, with materials that allow laminating and printing up to 9 colors. This way, ELBA gives its contribution by offering a high performing product that is, moreover, sustainable.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
ELBA: Flexible packaging is increasingly required and is gradually replacing rigid packaging, thanks to its lower expense and lower environmental impact and, on the other hand, flexible packaging helps reduce weight and costs in warehousing and shipping.
As previously mentioned, ELBA SA-V machine can produce recyclable PE stand-up pouches, to meet the current sustainability trends.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
ELBA: In 2021, we will witness a light growth of the market, compared to 2020, due to the recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic.
