INTERVIEW WITH EMMEDUE

EMMEDUE company history originates from the passion for innovation, technological research and the cohesion of knowledge that have been cultivated with a strong continuity since 1981. The EMMEDUE advanced building system is an innovative building system alternative to traditional building systems. It can be used in an integral way but it can also be used in combination with conventional construction methods. The EMMEDUE building system uses non-prefabricated panels to be finished directly on site with structural plaster and/or concrete. The basic element of the EMMEDUE building system is a modular panel, industrially produced and made up of two electro-welded galvanized steel meshes, joined together by steel connectors, which enclose a well-shaped slab of expanded polystyrene. The package offered by EMMEDUE includes the supply of the panel production plant, as well as design, installation, maintenance and training services and technical and commercial support to manufacturers, guiding them towards the reference markets.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

EMMEDUE: Our technology is used especially in social housing projects, where thousands of houses need to be built quickly and at low cost, it is used for building projects with high energy performance and for projects located in areas where is high the risk of natural disasters such as earthquakes and cyclones.

With the EMMEDUE system it is also possible to build residential, public and luxury buildings without placing particular limits on the designers’ imagination.

E.E: What’s the news for 2020 about new products?

EMMEDUE: This year we launched the new EVO 6.1 panelling machine which represents the evolution of the historic Emmesmart panelling machine. In parallel with the development of technology, Emmedue has always been committed to the development of new construction solutions and this year the Formwork system with Emmedue panels project was completed. This solution will allow to the builder the choice between the method of finishing panel by spraying and that by using a concrete cast inside formwork.

E.E: What are the ranges of traded products?

EMMEDUE: The plants that we market are modular and cover a very wide range in terms of production capacity, starting from the Emmelite1600 plant with a production capacity of 1600 square meters of panels for each 8-hour work shift, up to the Emmesmart 3600 plant which produces 3600 square meters of panels per shift.

Thanks to the modularity of our solutions it is possible to meet both the needs of those who need to start immediately with a high production capacity and the needs of those who instead have to start with a lower productivity that can then increase easily in the future by the adding of a machine to the existing plant.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

EMMEDUE: Despite being one of the economic sectors most reluctant to change, construction sector has now embarked on the path that will lead to a more energy efficient and at the same time more sustainable building from an economic and environmental point of view. Emmedue fits perfectly into this context and is ready to meet the needs of designers and builders thanks to the great experience gained in over 35 years of activity.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

EMMEDUE: The most innovative product marketed is the latest version of panel machine which is the EVO6.1. It is equipped with a Remote Monitoring System which allows to have the possibility to access the control panel from anywhere, enables you to monitor the production progress and the actual operation of the machine at all times. This Cloud system can be used on-line via a web browser and it is compatible with different devices such as tablets or smartphones.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2020?

EMMEDUE: Considering the moment of great international uncertainty due to the Covid19 pandemic, 2020 for Emmedue is a year dedicated to consolidating our presence in the markets where Emmedue has already been present since many years, but it is also a year of investments in research and development to be ready to face a 2021 that will surely be a year full of challenges that we want to win together with our customers.
