ERGIL: Traditionally, oil & gas were Äager’s core business, but with the time the product need for various sectors has emerged.
Then after, we are actively working on alternative energy, power, water & waste-water, marine and manufacturing sectors. We offer safety, environment, process products and special components for manufacturing
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
ERGIL: Scrubber is one of the latest products we have been working on and we are collaborating during the development process of the product with our experienced Research & Development Team and Academic Institutions. Scrubbers are used to cleanse the harmful gases with the help of various chemical reactions; it requires both pressure vessel production know-how and chemistry background. We organized a webinar to talk about new product and technologies in this area and we are planning to arrange another one soon.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
ERGIL: We have wide range of products and we are active in emission control, clean environment and safety areas. We are manufacturing pig launcher & receivers, storage tanks, silencers, separators, heat exchangers and scrubbers under ERGIL brand and manufacturing flame arrestors, pressure vacuum relief valves, internal floating roofs, firefighting equipment under Storagetech brand.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
ERGIL: Even oil&gas industry is more than 100 years old, always market is open to innovative and environment-friendly technologies, and in this regard we can say that we have much more way to go.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
ERGIL: There are several factors which affect market trends; some of them are, oil prices, governmental regulations, concerns about environment etc. With the increasing effect of technology in our lives and industries, obviously these trends are being shaped, too. For instance, new popular trends are “safety” and “green” which means companies aim to build safer and less energy consumer facilities and business environments. In this regard emission control products and other ones which related to clean environment will be more and more popular.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
ERGIL: We are currently working on a different type of scrubber which is called bio scrubber. Its working mechanism is based on absorbing the harmful gases and particles with the help of bacteria. It is critical that the amount and ratio of the bacteria and you should keep the circumstances to keep the bacteria alive. It is collaboration mechanics, chemistry and biology and we will start to see more and more bio scrubbers in the facilities.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
ERGIL: After the pandemic era rules of the game have been changed, companies should be more flexible and more adaptive against the different circumstances market. Despite of the unstable market factors (changing raw material prices, political instability, increasing logistics costs etc.) we are aiming to grow in profit and market share.
