Eurotransis is a metal-mechanic industry with more than 30 years of international experience in the world of maintenance. It is a Spanish company that designs and manufactures continuous handling mechanical systems: rollers, drums, components and conveyors.
All this in strict observance of the specifications, tolerances and design required by ISO 9001.
Interview with Pedro Rueda Serrano, Business Development Manager at Eurotransis.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Pedro Rueda Serrano: It should be said that the list of sectors in which Eurotransis operates is very extensive. Among them we can mention areas such as Automation, Automotive, Logistics, Maintenance, Food, Robotics, Mining, among others. Actually, we have customers from every possible area you can think of and Eurotransis is always available to help as much as possible.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
P.R.S: We are currently working on three products, two of them in the I&D phase and the other one in the final phase. The first of them is the Motorroller, a product that is being more demanded by our customers every day due to the fact that the geared motor is being replaced by the motorroller, which is easier to replace, the noise generated is lower and it means less expense.
Another product that is in the I&D phase is the motorized extendable, which is a conveyor system that allows a quick solution in the loading and unloading phase. It is perfect for small spaces where there is no fixed line and, in addition, it is a plus to our standard conveyor.
Lastly, the telescopic conveyor belt is in the prototype manufacturing phase, a product that is very useful for loading and/or unloading trailers and/or maritime containers, taking up very little space.
Eurotransis continues to invest more and more in human and monetary capital in order, in a medium-term period, to be able to cover the needs of our customers with these products.
E.E: What are the ranges of product?
P.R.S: Regarding our products, we manufacture and design rollers with the first qualities in the market. We have our own line of rollers in accordance with international standards, and also with the great ability to manufacture rollers according to the needs of our customers.
For this reason, we have a wide range of handling and mining rollers, made of materials such as steel, PVC, stainless, zinc-plated steel or painted, among others; both for light loads and large tons.
Furthermore, Eurotransis has specialized in the manufacture of machines and conveyorsent on behalf of engineering companies and enterprise that integrate complex systems, supplying serial products: roller, belt, chain conveyors, picking tables, integrators, “sorting” tablet conveyors and other accessories such as rotary tables, tilting tables, elevators, etc.

E.E: At what stage is the market you are currently in active?
P.R.S: Despite the different crises suffered around the planet, the price increases in raw materials and other situations that affect us, today the market is in a booming situation.
Much of this is mainly due to the idealization of companies that have already begun to program the automation of all their processes, such as in the automotive industries and, mainly, in the logistics industry.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
P.R.S: In the companies in the sectors in which we work, a tendency to automate all production processes can be observed, and for this they rely on companies like ours.
Nowadays, the importance of industrial automation is clear, since it is a process that allows them to optimize time and costs in those processes that are repeated, reducing the margin of error and being much more productive.
We can also mention the optimization of digital processes, the advancement of industrial robots to autonomous mobile robots (AMR), collaborative automation between humans and robots, automated picking and, in IT automation.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
P.R.S: An innovative product is one that already exists on the market and we transform it and get it to perform a different function. Something differentiating from the rest.
In the conveyor section, we have a similar situation where we adapt to the needs of each client.
We can mention, on the one hand, the product induction and centering conveyor, used in a parcel system that, by means of a 3-ridge Poly-V transmission, is capable of reaching speeds of up to 60m/min, in addition to centering the product for its subsequent exit from the conveyor. This type of conveyor is widely used, for example, in companies like Amazon.
On the other hand, the Pallet Dispenser with a motorized mobile arm, which is capable of adapting to different types of pallets and dispatching each of the pallets one by one.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022?
P.R.S: Eurotransis had set objectives for the end of the year 2022. Thanks to the effort and dedication of the workers of our company, we have been able to achieve and exceed these objectives, in addition, our workforce has been increased in the technical office, purchasing and logistics department.
