F.LLI FERRARI: F.lli Ferrari designs and manufactures truck-mounted cranes which are used in a wide variety of applications across a range of industry sectors including construction, oil & gas and logistics. We offer an excellent range of telescopic and articulated cranes for the medium capacity crane segment as well some outstanding larger cranes with load capacities up to 90 tm.
Our latest generation of cranes called New Age, with models ranging from 9 to 66 tm, offer solutions for any application and are equipped with some of the most innovative and advanced features in the industry.
Each one of our cranes, light, big or special lifting, gives exactly what is needs for efficient, simple and safe loading and unloading in all conditions. Precision lifting with maximum payload and true reliability.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
F.LLI FERRARI: We are further improving our product line in big range crane. After the introduction last year of the new model 60 tm EDGE. We are finalizing the development of 4 new models 40 tm class. The new product family will have a Rack and Pinion and a Endless slewing version allowing to cover different applications and market demand.
A wide range of accessories is also available include grabs, rotators, drills and mechanisms for pallet or brick lifting. The customer can apply their own accessory. Accessories are not normally permanent and can be removed to allow lifting with the standard hook.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
F.LLI FERRARI: We offer an excellent range of telescopic and articulated cranes for the medium capacity crane segment as well some outstanding larger cranes with load capacities up to 90 tm.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
F.LLI FERRARI: Mostly of the market are re-starting after a very difficult 2020. Some regions are still strongly affected by Covid-19 but business and our key applications are giving us very positive expectations in short terms.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
F.LLI FERRARI: The use of articulated truck mounted cranes is improving year over year globally. On mature markets the demand is for an easy product use, high safety and capability to work in different application. In growing economies our cranes are substituting the manual works by a flexible lifting equipment.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
F.LLI FERRARI: The NEW AGE Line cranes have been totally redesigned and reengineered to deliver top performance, ease of use and maintenance and the highest level of modularity in models, features and accessories.
NEW AGE Line give a wide range of configuration:
- Telescopic boom cranes. Designed to be used in car recovery and in all other applications where a compact, light, and easy to operate crane is needed.
- Articulated boom cranes. Perfect solution for cost and performance in loading and unloading operations.
- Top performance articulated cranes. Equipped with double linkage boom system. Made for complex lifting applications and highly demanding users.
- Short boom articulated cranes with double linkages. Designed for high loads delivery. Installation on compact wheelbase trucks. Used in construction applications.
- Endless slewing cranes with double linkage boom system. Made for complex lifting applications and highly demanding users.
The range now spans from 1 to 165 tm and offers the best warranty in the industry today, 3 years general and 5 years on structure.
A focus on stability, ergonomic working positions and user-friendly interfaces has delivered accurate and safe operation.
Innovations in the NEW AGE Line include Dynamic Load Diagram, totally new in the truck-mounted crane industry, which allows verification in advance of the crane lifting capacity based on the actual truck stability; and, Magic Touch which allows the driver to open automatically the crane from transport position to working position and back to transport position when required. Both of these features improve driver attention and can save time and increase productivity.

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
F.LLI FERRARI: During the first quarter of 2021 we already experienced a solid recover in mostly of the Flli Ferrari lead markets. Our expectations is to overcome the sales we did in 2019 supported by our sales organization and the new products developed and presented in the last years.
