Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
FRIGOR BOX INTERNATIONAL: Our industrial product range covers the requirements of all areas where refrigeration is needed, such as the food industry (meat, fish, dairy products, fruit & vegetables, frozen food), pharma and hospital industries. Our commercial product range is mainly addressed to the HoReCa sector.
With the brand name Pa.Ba.Tech. we cover the pastry / bakery / ice cream and gelato fields, manufacturing retarder provers, blast freezers and storage freezers.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
FRIGOR BOX INTERNATIONAL: We are aware that the green choice is the strategic priority, therefore we are developing a brand new range of blast chillers and freezers operating with CO2 (R744) as refrigerant. Moreover, to respond to the requirements of the catering industry, our R&D department has also developed the slow-cooking function for sous-vide food, to be coupled to blast chilling and freezing. Another goal is to build more and more energy efficient refrigeration systems. Last but not least, our sanitization system Aircare Box, based on ionization and plasma air, which can be inserted inside evaporators and Air Handling Units, to allow operators to work in Covid-free environments 24/7.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
FRIGOR BOX INTERNATIONAL: The refrigeration market is strongly growing worldwide. Even in Italy, in spite of the Covid crisis, the agro-food industry has held up well. Moreover, there is a strong recovery in FROZEN FOOD, a sector where we are positioning ourselves on the market with the FRIGOR BOX INTERNATIONAL line of roll-in blast chillers and freezers for trolleys.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
FRIGOR BOX INTERNATIONAL: As stated before, the market is increasingly concerned with sustainable growth, and we feel positive sensations, generally speaking. In spite of all this, of course the pandemic problem remains, which is far from being resolved. This gives a general feeling of uncertainty, but we can’t stop, this is sure.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
FRIGOR BOX INTERNATIONAL: For sure our new line of roll-in blast chillers and freezers for 1 to 10 trolleys, and the introduction of the „green” choice, namely refrigeration units with refrigerant CO2 (R744). Moreover, the cook-chill and cook-freeze function applied to our blast chillers and freezers.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
FRIGOR BOX INTERNATIONAL: In 2021, we estimate to repeat the good results obtained in 2019, recovering what was lost in 2020, and, if possible, something more.
