For over 50 years, geba® GmbH has been manufacturing switchgear for the door and gate market and is a family-run business in its third generation now. Based on European and German patents, geba is still one of the leading entities in the European supply industry for automatically operated doors and gates.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
GEBA: Based on our many years of experience and high quality products, our entity has become famous for manufacturing switchgear for the door and gate market. We are eminent by selling electrical and electronic systems for the control of electrified doors or gates.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
GEBA: While we were developing new products in the last two years, the main goal for us contained to reduce the risk of catching the Coronavirus disease. Therefore, we developed the geba Touchless-Switch and the geba Corona traffic light. Based on our new Touchless-Switch you prevent to touch surfaces and low the risk of getting germs and viruses. This switch is used absolutely touchless and works entirely through the capacitive technology. The geba Corona traffic light enables to easily control the amount of people in front of your business or restaurant. The light changes quickly between red and green by using the geba two channel transmitter. The receiver is integrated in the MSM module. It consists of 18 two-colored high-power diodes in red and green. Furthermore, we are very proud to announce the geba Twinkle-Star mini, which is the tiny version of our already developed geba Twinkle-Star. The mini version has 3 different functions: blink, flash and permanent light.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
GEBA: The portfolio comprises nearly all electrical and electronic systems required for the
control of electrified doors or gates. From Keyswitches, Pushbuttons, Blindswitches, Switch inserts, to Code-Locks, Radio control system, Fingerscanner, Controls for tubular motors and for industrial doors and Safety edges, Photo beams, limit switches as well as Signal lamps.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
GEBA: The entity geba belongs to the B2B-market of the supply industry for automatically operated doors and gates. During Corona, we have taken and processed a quite well number of orders and we have been fortunately busy all over the last months.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
GEBA: Not only Smart home products are becoming more and more important for customers in general but also contactless electronical devices are well-respected like our geba Touchless-Switch.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
GEBA: We acquired the patent of the 1-screw system in our Keyswitches, which is presented for instance in our S-Series, MSC-Series, MS-Series as well as in further series.
The geba technology has been constantly developed over the last years. There are no visible screws on the key-pads thanks to a new intelligent fixing technology.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
GEBA: We hope that we can still continue with processing the orders as before. By the end of this year we want to achieve a good annual financial statement for having a great and a bit carefree start into the year 2022. Besides, our competent engineers, who are well-skilled in the development of new technical possibilities are currently working on the big version of our geba Twinkle-Star. We look forward to selling the geba Twinkle-Star large in the beginning of 2022.
