GeTech Srl is an Italian company with more than 20 years of experience in the supply of industrial technical parts. The company is one of the leaders in the Italian market. In the course of the past 10 years, they have had significant growth abroad as well, thanks to a network of trusted, foreign distributors.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
GeTech: GeTech’s main profile has always been the supply of anti-vibration products, thanks to one of our owners’ previous experience in rubber production. With the goal in mind of providing a wide range of high-quality products, GeTech started several manufacturing co-operations in the years and invested in the service provided to the customers. As the years passed and the number of satisfied and loyal customers raised, our decision stood the test of time.
Apart from the anti-vibration products which are still considered our core business, we are well known for supplying other industrial components such as levelling feet, knobs, handles and for our wide range of clamping elements, which includes hose and bolt clamps, cable ties, toggle latches and more.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
GeTech: We are constantly enlarging our wide range of industrial products to keep up with the new trends of the market and to provide improved solutions to our customers. We recently issued our new, 2021 general catalogue where we added new sizes for some of our anti-vibration mounts as well as introduced some new specific items: ER levelling foot with socket head, a wide range of toggle latches and a brand new product line with European-made quality hand tools.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
GeTech: We group our products under four separate lines: Flexo, Compo, Kiudo and HYRAX.
The Flexo line includes every product that is related to vibration control. The anti-vibration line has been our core business since the foundation of the company. With around half-million pieces of anti-vibration mounts sold per year, we are considered as one of the leading companies on the national market. In our catalogue, we display all our best sellers of cylindrical anti-vibration mounts, machine mounts, anti-vibration feet and anti-vibration plates. These products are always available in our stock but as a big part of our business, we also provide many custom-made pieces, following our customers’ needs and specific technical requirements of each project.
Compo – our operating and levelling – line just like our other lines, has been developed with our customers in mind, trying to offer a solution to all their possible needs. As a result, Compo has become our largest product line, which includes more than 1600 codes among 120 products. The mainly Italian made products are divided into sub-categories such as, Plastic Base Levelling Line for our plastic feet, plastic bases and spindles; Steel Base Levelling Line which includes a wide range of fixed, articulated and levelling feet with high load capacity; Hinges and Accessories where the products, such as fittings, hinges and index bolts are coming in various shapes and sizes; and our Operating Components subcategory which offers a selection of various knobs, handles, ratchet handles, grips and handwheels as well.
Thanks to the previous experience in the field and following the acquisition of an Italian company specialized in hoses and clamping systems, the Kiudo line became officially part of our catalogue in 2012. After almost ten years of improvement, today Kiudo is one of the most important lines of GeTech’s assortment. This line is in constant evolution and groups many kinds of clamping systems and locking elements, such as worm drive hose clamps, bolt clamps, cable ties, toggle latches, toggle clamps and sealing elements.
Our newest product line, HYRAX is an independent brand of high-quality European hand tools. In our assortment, we have included the Italian-made toggle clamp range, hammers, mallets, professional marking tools as well as pliers and scissors for electricians.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
GeTech: We could say that the demand on the market in our field is on an ascending track after the acute phase of the pandemic, but we are still facing several difficulties. One of them is the increased delivery times, which cannot be always blamed for logistic issues but are originating in our other problem, the raw material shortage. As the production has bounced back post-pandemic quite quickly, the primary material market was not able to be that flexible. It caused not just delays in the procurement but several rounds of price raises as well. Our company was able to balance out these negative effects of the pandemic and maintain our service towards our customers, thanks to our well-inserted position on the market, to our productive relationships in the field and to an extremely accurate planning.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?
GeTech: We hope for the stabilization of the market regarding the raw materials and we hope that as we have stayed strong during this difficult period we will be able to win over markets where we have not been present yet and keep growing on our current markets thanks to our large network of distributors.
