Gostol TST is a world-renowned company in the field of shot blasting solutions. The company is focused on lasting cooperation and partnership. Gostol TST’s team consists of 100 employees, key personnel are engineers and technical staff, internationally experienced sales engineers and management. They have three subsidiaries in Russia, India and China, as well as an extensive agency network around the world to provide fast customer access. 

With their work and experience, the company has already helped 4,000 companies from various fields of mechanical engineering.

Gostol TST has already manufactured more than 2,500 shot blasting machines, of which 1,500 are still in operation. 

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Gostol TST: Our main expertise is the production of shot blasting machines. We help our customers with a comprehensive service, from development, design, production and service activities. For more than 70 years, our customers have trusted us and we shape bright future with them.

E.E: What’s the news about new products?

Gostol TST: We are improving the user experience in the after-sales period. We offer our customers comprehensive support in the field of maintenance and supply of spare parts. With a sm@rt cloud platform solution, we enable remote control, quality management and control of the production process. 

The sm@rt cloud platform is a system where all the information about shot blasting machine is gathered in one place. The main functions of the sm@rt cloud platform are:

  • Monitoring of current operating parameters of the machine, dust collector and throwing wheels,
  • Monitoring of machine counters, current alarms and history,
  • Data analysis,
  • Access to service book, user manual and video instructions,
  • Easy ordering of spare parts.

The operation of shot blasting machine must be as efficient as possible, and all data must be collected in one place, transparent, and above all, the user must benefit from it as much as possible.

We focused on 3 areas:

  • Lower abrasive consumption,
  • Energy savings, 
  • Less maintenance and production interruptions.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

Gostol TST: As a producer of shot blasting machines we know what challenges companies in surface treatment face and what their requirements are in achieving quality surface treated metals and productivity.

Some of our machines are standard but most of them are made according to specific customer demands. Robustness was already a priority when we constructed the first machines. Throughout the development, we are aware of its importance, so we maintain it also today. The development of our machines is focused on higher productivity, lower operating costs, lower maintenance costs, consequently lower energy consumption and process control.

Our machines ensure high quality standards that comply with the CE declaration and directives of individual countries. They are assembled and tested before shipment, which increases safety for the customer. We always adapt to specific customer requirements and details. We work with world-renowned suppliers of built-in components that improve shot blasting process.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

Gostol TST: According to the projections and forecast the global shot blasting machine market is in the phase of growth and will expand in the next 10 years. Our sales revenue is increasing in comparison to previous years, the demand is high and the number of competitors is higher than few years ago. 

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

Gostol TST: We expect the main factors that will influence market growth in the future are increase in industrialization and investment in infrastructure projects, expansion of automotive and aerospace sectors across the globe, increase in demand for higher quality and durability of the surface protection and consequently higher quality of the product. 

The consequences of COVID-19 are visible also in the global manufacturing, metal and automotive industries, where are the main customers of shot blasting machines and this will also have some impact on the sale of shot blasting machines.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

Gostol TST: In the past most innovations were in the field of optimization shot blasting process and reducing costs of blasting media, energy and labor. The most important part of each shot blasting machine is blasting wheel, that’s why most of the producers focused on this part. Gostol TST has developed ir sm@rt wheel which is one of the most effective blasting wheels on the market. We also focused on the sm@rt blasting media dosing system, which enables the controlled adding of the blasting media to the circular system. 

In our experience shot blasting machine customers expect also after-sales services and to have as much control of the whole process as possible, that’s why it’s not only machine that is important but the whole package. 

E.E: What estimations do you have for 2022?

Gostol TST: We have a good feeling considering the received orders and the occupancy of our production, but it depends also on the COVID situation. If the trend continues our sales will grow and we will have good results in 2022.
