Easy Engineering: How was 2022 for your business, a short summary?
ION INDUSTRIES: For several reasons, ION INDUSTRIES can look back on last year with satisfaction. The LED Dimmer manufacturer has been around for ten years. This was accompanied by welcoming several new partners, participating in the Frankfurt fair, setting up campaigns to boost sales and winning another German Innovation Award. Furthermore, the LED Dimmers have been sold in Germany and the UK since last year.
E.E: What products/services did you launch this year?
ION INDUSTRIES: In 2022, ION INDUSTRIES launched the innovative and powerful LED Dimmer 600 Watt. This makes it possible to provide large spaces with dimmable lighting, think of office and shop premises. The LED Dimmer 600 Watt won a German Innovation Award for its dimming range of 0.3 to 600 watts, which can be comfortably dimmed from high to low. The LED Emergency Lighting range now also features Black Exit Lighting. Furthermore, the Dimming Stabiliser and Double Frame are also new to the range.
E.E: How did the market change, compared to previous years?
ION INDUSTRIES: The use of LED lighting has skyrocketed in recent years. ION INDUSTRIES makes good use of this by adding unique adjustment options that perfectly meet the needs of the target group. Think of the Auto Adjustment, where the dimming range is adjusted automatically. ION INDUSTRIES releases products suitable for every situation. This allows it to respond quickly to changes in the market and the needs of the target group.
E.E: What are the new challenges in your field of activity?
ION INDUSTRIES: ION INDUSTRIES sees internationalization as a real challenge. Marketing the LED Dimmers in other European countries is a priority. This will be done through Germany and the United Kingdom, before rolling out further in Europe.
E.E: How did you overcome these challenges in this more competitive environment?
ION INDUSTRIES: To compete with major switchgear brands, it is important both to continue developing the existing range and to create more depth in the range by releasing new LED Dimmers. In addition, it is important to keep the quality for which ION INDUSTRIES stands intact.
E.E: Tell us about product innovation and how will it impact the future?
ION INDUSTRIES: Innovating the LED Dimmer Switches is an ongoing process that will arise from specific market research. This entire process is supported by the entire ION INDUSTRIES team, in which R&D, sales and marketing are decisive. Professional customers are also consulted to optimize the LED Dimmers. Currently, the focus is on the development of Smart Home in current and potential markets. The functionality of the LED Dimmer will be more versatile as a result.
E.E: How will product innovation help the customers?
ION INDUSTRIES: User-friendliness is very important for the LED Dimmer Switch. The emphasis is mainly on the compatibility and easy connection of the product. The Smart Home function ensures that the LED Dimmers can be used in your own network. It is also easy for the consumer to connect the dimmers. This allows lighting to be dimmed comfortably.
E.E: What are the industry trends in the markets you are currently active?
ION INDUSTRIES: An important trend that ION INDUSTRIES is capitalizing on is connecting the LED Dimmer to Smart Home systems. This can be done well by means of the WiFi LED Dimmer. In addition, the so-called ”Look & Feel” is also increasingly important. With the sleekly finished Touch Dimmer cover materials, ION INDUSTRIES is responding to this trend.
E.E: What do you think the trends will be next year?
ION INDUSTRIES: As utilities have become more expensive and climate change is becoming more visible, sustainability is an important issue. ION INDUSTRIES’ LED Dimmers ensure energy savings and atmospheric lighting. Combined with Smart Home technology and beautifully finished cover materials, the needs of the target audience are met.
E.E: What is the outlook for 2023?
ION INDUSTRIES: ION INDUSTRIES is heading for a prosperous 2023! There are still many challenges ahead for further development as a manufacturer and partner, such as the new LED Dimmers coming out in the first quarter.
