Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
JOKARI: JOKARI develops and manufactures high quality and innovative tools for processing all types of cables and wires. These are used in home installations as well as in industry worldwide.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
JOKARI: On the one side, with the JOKARI Super 4 Pro, we have added a stripper to our product portfolio that has an extremely robust mechanics and is suitable, for example, for use in particularly rough and dirty working environments such as construction sites. Thanks to the resistant mechanics, the Super 4 Pro delivers permanently clean stripping results.
In addition, we have revised our JOKARI AS-Interface Pro because during installation, the processing of the AS-Interface cable is becoming increasingly difficult for the system technician as the outer insulation is made of materials such as TPE, PUR or PVC that are difficult to process. The mixture of cable ingredients has also changed due to the different requirements in the applications. Together with well-known cable manufacturers, wire-stripping expert JOKARI has addressed this problem and adapted the new automatic AS-Interface Pro stripping pliers to these requirements.
The AS-Interface Pro has a corresponding blade position and now enables professional users to work on the mentioned outer insulations in a very timesaving and easy way. The blade position is adapted to the trapezoidal shape of the AS-Interface cable and thus protects its conductors from damage. The AS-Interface Pro allows any stripping length to be selected, as the cable is guided centrally through the pliers handles.
In this way, with the JOKARI AS-Interface Pro we can offer our customers a tool that can be used with nearly any cable material and achieves precise stripping results.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
JOKARI: JOKARI produces a wide range of special tools for stripping and dismantling cables and wires of all kinds. The portfolio includes more than 80 products in the fields of wire strippers, cable strippers, cable knives and micro precision wire strippers.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
JOKARI: We have determined that the handcraft sector, especially the DIY sector, has experienced a strong growth in the recent months. This can certainly also be attributed to the Corona pandemic. For us the trend is very pleasing, which is also reflected in our sales and turnover figures. Nonetheless, our focus is still on professional users from craft and industry.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
JOKARI: We see a clear development in the fact that professional users prefer more and more tools for the clean processing of cables and wires that are innovative, well-designed, of high quality and are designed for the respective area of application.

JOKARI: With our JOKARI QUADRO Plus, we offer the user a true multi-talent: The automatic wire stripper makes it possible to take four work steps with just one tool: Cutting, stripping, twisting and crimping. This means that a cable is ready for connection within a very short time.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
JOKARI: We assume that the market for precision tools will continue to grow. Currently, this growth is unfortunately being held back by the challenge of raw material scarcity. As a German family-owned company, we remain positive about the future and continue to focus on designing and producing 100% Made in Germany stripping tools.
