KLEINER GmbH is located in Pforzheim (Germany). The company specializes in stamping technology and has been in business since 1985. About 250 employees are working every day to bring the orders to customers.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
KLEINER: We specialize in stamping technology. This includes a division that deals with the manufacture of tools and their repair. These tools are then used in the mass production of our stamped parts, which is done by the millions.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
KLEINER: We have developed a manufacturing cell of which we are very proud. Here the production steps of grinding, milling, eroding, testing and cleaning are done in one production area and centrally controlled.
We also specialize in the production of busbars, which are used in particular in the field of e-mobility and high-current technology. Our special know-how is to keep them flexible and/or to provide them with insulation.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
KLEINER: We have all kinds of stamped parts. You can see some of them in the pictures, for example a so-called busbar, stamped grids or press-in zones.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
KLEINER: We mainly focus on automotive technologies. Sustainability is one of our main priorities and we want to make progress in artificial intelligence and environmentally friendly production.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
KLEINER: The biggest trend is a very important one: thinking about the environment when making financial decisions. We have to consider that we should not take more away from the environment than we already have. We have to make sure that our production lines are CO2 neutral.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
KLEINER: 2022 will be a difficult year overall. Everyone is suffering from a lack of electronic parts or a lack of raw materials such as copper. At the same time, a rapid transformation towards e-mobility is taking place, which will also not succeed without difficulties. Overall, however, we are confident that the markets will return to calmer waters.
