Interview with Stefan Behr, Head of Marketing at LAUFEN. Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company? Stefan Behr: The main areas are the production and distribution of sanitary ceramics, faucets, bathtubs and shower trays, furniture, mirrors, accessories and installation systems for both, private and public buildings. E.E: What’s the news about new products? S.B: We’ve launched our new, multi-variant complete bathroom collection LUA for bathroom planning in both the commercial and private sectors that requires a fresh, long-lasting design, brand quality and a wealth of functionality. Also new is LANI – furniture collection. The sleek, timelessly elegant design of the collection, its generous storage space, its thoughtful details and its durable, sustainable workmanship ensure a clean, harmonious atmosphere in the bathroom. The transversal furniture series, featuring vanity units, cabinets, countertops, drawer elements, modular system, mirrors and mirror cabinets, can be ideally combined with many of LAUFEN’s high-class bathroom collections. E.E: What are the ranges of products? S.B: Sanitary ceramic, bathtubs, shower trays, furniture, mirrors, accessories, faucets and installation systems. E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active? S.B: We are currently in a growing market -despite the crisis. E.E: What can you tell us about market trends? S.B: The overall range has become larger, more colourful and even more diverse. The design options in terms of design, colour and function have once again increased greatly in recent years, and Green Bathroom, Smart Bathroom or Living Bathroom describe the developments that will determine the design and equipment of future bathroom design. E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed? S.B: The most innovative products are CLEANET shower toilets and our separation toilet save! The Cleanet shower toilets blend seamlessly into any bathroom interior with their timeless ceramic body. This means increased design quality, thanks to the familiar aesthetics, as well as improved quality of living, thanks to intimate washing with pure water. Save! is the first separation toilet to meet the latest industry standards. The rimless, wall-mounted, patent-pending device was developed for Europe and is approved according to EN 997, EN 14055 and the urine trap is LGA tested. E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022? S.B: Even though we are currently facing some challenges regarding the crisis and rising costs, we see ourselves continuing to grow – we want to and will continue to grow.
