INTERVIEW WITH LUBANDY LOGISTIC SERVICES

Lubandy Logistic Services acts on the market from 2008. Their main tasks are focused around warehouse planning and automation. Lubandy basees all new solutions on the experience gained throughout the years in various disciplines. In their activities, Lubandy strives towards WIN-WIN situations between the customer and supplier from various corners of the world.

Lubandy is becoming a link in the logistics planning chain. Based on their versatile experience in operational logistic, mechanic sciences, mathematical methods of analysis and project management, the company develops the best possible logistics material flow concept, which will allow achieving optimal goods flow conditions inside the warehouse contains analysis of the data concerning processes, order structure and customer needs.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?

Lubandy Logistic Services: A well-developed logistics concepts in an enterprise affects the effectiveness of not only the warehouse, but also of the manufacturing and distribution departments, as well as is substantially decisive in terms of the profitability of the entire business. We start the execution of the logistics concepts with understanding the client’s flows and litigation needs, taking into account extrapolation for the following years. Based on mathematics, we create a vision of a warehouse automation solution tailored to the customer’s business needs. The client gets acquainted with his new warehouse, thanks to visualization in 3D or in VR, learns about his new processes, their flow and performance through simulation, and gets detailed financial information about the whole project (including FTE, CAPEX, OPEX and ROI calculation). Based on the experience developed over the years, we believe that the proposed solutions will work not only “on paper”, but also in reality – we go out of our way to assist the customer in tendering and launching warehouse automation.

E.E: What’s the news about new products?

Lubandy Logistic Services: Process simulations become indispensable at the planning stage, when we determine the performance of employees or the number of workstations needed. Thanks to simulations, we can illustrate and analyze not only the differentiated flows of goods, but also the behavior of employees and their interactions inside the warehouse. They allow us to test planned equipment and designed processes to match the specifics of a concept, before making changes in the real world. We are able to observe the behavior of the system at any level of detail and compare different scenarios, allowing us to choose the most effective option. With process simulations, the customer can compare and test selected processes in terms of efficiency and functionality, even before making an investment decision.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?

Lubandy Logistic Services: Our skills and experience are related to the processes inside the warehouse – we are process creators. From our hands come detailed data analyses, designs of automated warehouses, along with the specification of processes for warehouse management software, as well as the necessary emulations and simulations. Taking care of the project from inception to completion, we prepare technical documentation for our clients for equipment suppliers to use at the bidding stage, and also take care of the client’s needs during commissioning.

E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?

Lubandy Logistic Services: May we make a project in interesting times. Currently there is a visible division of the market into industries/companies that have been affected by the political and economic situation caused by the war in Ukraine, and companies whose products and services have not fallen in demand. In both groups of customers there are challenges for logistics to be able to optimize processes to match current real needs.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

Lubandy Logistic Services: We are confident that we can expect the unexpected. Learning from recent experience, we believe that it is important to be prepared for the changing situation and design solutions flexible enough to adapt to the current market specifics, and this despite the limitations of automated systems.

E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?

Lubandy Logistic Services: When thinking about innovation, the first things that come to mind are modern technology and artificial intelligence. In our projects, we have managed to combine automatic storage systems together with autonomous guided vehicle and sorters in an efficient way. Thanks to “learning” by analyzing data and virtual testing, it is possible to continuously optimize processes, the runs performed by transport equipment and the use of equipment. A second, equally desirable goal was to minimize both human labor costs and errors made by human operators.

E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022?

Lubandy Logistic Services: On the one hand, our company will have to adapt to the new market conditions (post-Covid, war in Ukraine, bottlenecks in energy supply, etc. for our customers) and, on the other hand, to the new situation as an opportunity for further optimization in the supply of the market and reduction of energy demand in the projects. Here we see the greatest potential in 2022 in view of the investments in 2023 and further in the future.
