OHRA is one of the leading manufacturers of storage equipment in Europe with a broad range from which to choose, starting from small racking systems up to a full, automatic warehouse operation, including storage and retrieval machines and warehouse software. OHRA provides bespoke products for many applications, customized to the goods to be stored and to the available handling devices. In accordance with these requirements, they plan, produce, and install storage systems like cantilever racking for long goods, pallet racking for heavy loads or mezzanine floors for an ideal use of the existing storage space.
Interview with Marton Krencsey, Aera Business Manager at OHRA Regalanlagen GmbH.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Marton Krencsey: We are a reliable partner for all kind of industries. Most important business field where they store long goods, like wood beams, steel bars, pipes, or heavy goods, like chipboard, pile wood, metal sheet. So, our main costumers are wood traders, carpenters, chipboard traders, metal traders, metal processing companies, building merchants.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
M.K: We continuously develop our product, currently the new development an automatic collecting device for chipboards, metal sheets. The machine can collect automatically from the pack of goods of the desired amount, avoid the damages and scratch on the goods. The collection time is also reduced the machine do not need to stop for a coffee break. It can be installed separate or integrated in a cantilever rack system. Feed by forklift or automatic storage equipment.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
M.K: The main product is Cantilever rack and variety of cantilever rack, like rack clad building, mezzanine floor includes cantilever rack, automatic system for cantilever rack or mobile cantilever rack. Uniquely we have a palette rack from hot rolled steel material, which allows heavy load (up to 8000kg) with slim structure. But we have traditional palette racks, mezzanine floors, vertical storage for long goods. FIFO storage equipment with roller for palette and for boxes.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
M.K: Most of the EU countries we are the leaders in cantilever racks. Process the sales to final customer via salesmen. In Romania and Bulgaria, we are working with dealers. The target is to increase our presence and activities in these countries, like we will be exhibit in 2023 in Bucharest on the so-called Ambient trade fair.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
M.K: From 2011 we are continuously growing except 2020 when we have 10% regression because of the COVID. Our target is to keep continue this trend.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
M.K: In the storage technology the innovation way is the automatization. So, we follow that direction as well, with the recent introduce, PICK-BOX system which automatically collect the chipboards, or full automatic systems with integrated commission method.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022?
M.K: 2022 was a good year, despite of the Ukraine war and the energy crisis. What will bring the future it will be hard to tell at this stage.
