P.W. BUD-MASZ is one of the largest producers in Central and Eastern Europe, working for customers since 1990 in the production of roll forming machines for profiling sheet metal, metal rainwater systems and aluminum sound-absorbing panels used to suppress traffic and industrial noise.

Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
BUD-MASZ: As the main direction of P.W. BUD-MASZ has chosen the production of machines for cold profiling of metal. As we have already mentioned, we are one of the largest producers of this type of equipment for Central and Eastern Europe.
E.E: What’s the news for 2021 about new products?
BUD-MASZ: As our latest invention, we plan to introduce a metal profiling machine equipped with six interchangeable profiling cassettes placed on a system we call star. This system will allow for an automatic change of cassettes, which at the same time will allow for a quick change of profiling rolls and immediate production of sheet metal in the selected profile. The star will concern machines for profiling trapezoidal sheets, however, the currently conducted development works are aimed at modernizing other machines.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
BUD-MASZ: As a machine manufacturer, we are open to customer ideas. At the moment, we have several dozen of our own profiles for which we manufacture machines, but the continuous development allows us to open up to more and more demanding customers and offer the production of machines strictly for customer profiles.
The types of machines we offer include machines for profiling roof tiles, machines for profiling trapezoidal sheets, machines for profiling sheets of sine type – used for silos, machines for profiling gutter system components – gutters, pipes, all kinds of connectors, machines for profiling ridge tiles, and Besides, we are very willing to create entire transport systems with sheet metal wrapping machines – conveyors, wrappers, palletizers.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
BUD-MASZ: The market in which we operate is constantly in the development phase – it is an industry that generates a constant demand, our customers constantly present new ideas for sheet metal contours, and we are constantly trying to meet them in the construction of more and more modern machines. Automation, which is currently under development, allows us to improve machines, both the latest projects and machines that have been used by our clients for many years.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
BUD-MASZ: At the moment, the greatest market trend is the greatest possible automation of production lines. We also strive in this direction, for a long time offering additional functionalities of machines that make the machine work better, reliably, under constant monitoring of sensors, and additionally we have a robot that speeds up the work.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
BUD-MASZ: The most innovative products that can be found on the market today will certainly be machines with automatically interchangeable profiling cassettes, which we mentioned earlier.
In addition, they will certainly be robotic stations for the production of gutter systems – from a sheet form to an elbow, or a properly profiled hook.
E.E: What estimations do you have for 2021?
BUD-MASZ: I hope for the greatest possible development, with the prospect of being self-sufficient. We invest in new production machines that will allow us to be more independent and faster in the execution of orders.
Additionally, we would like to move dynamically towards machine and production automation.
