Parksafe Group: With a dedicated, knowledgeable in-house design and engineering department, Parksafe Group are continually developing and improving existing products, to a constantly evolving industry. Our latest products include a passenger counting system, which is designed to accurately record boarding and alighting data, which can then be used to determine optimum vehicle scheduling based on passenger load.
The system employs highly accurate over-door sensors capturing on/off counts each time the passenger-entry doors open and close. They recognize when multiple doors are open and passengers are crossing doorways in both directions. It allows quick access to real-time occupancy data and detailed reporting functions. The information can be shared to other systems and reporting packages via API to accelerate data analysis and decision making. It can also be used for schedule optimization, fraud detection and revenue distribution calculations.

Parksafe Group: Every year large vehicles collide with overhead bridges, research by Network Rail has found that 56% of drivers do not consider low bridges when planning their journey. As a result, these collisions endanger lives and cause disastrous delays on the road and rail networks.
Data published by Network Rail between 1st April 2020 and 31st March 2021 shows that there were 1,624 bridge strikes reported across the network. Most of these incidents involved Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV’s).
