Polcar has been operating in the automotive spare parts market since 1986 and it is deeply specialized in a body and associated parts.
The company offers widest quality choice based on EC Block Exemption Regulation 461/2010 (GVO): OEM/OES parts and several levels of alternative parts as well, retail sales realized only through a network of regional partners and goods purchased directly from factories.
Polcar doesn’t offer products coming from the same production line in different packaging or branding.
The company has been financed by its own funds – that’s why they are 100% Polish business.
From the very beginning the company has followed Christian ethics manifest by an individual approach to each client and respect for customers, suppliers and employees.
Interview with Andrzej Senkowski, Founder & Managing Director of Polcar.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Andrzej Senkowski:
- Import of car parts from carefully selected factories from all over the world;
- Initiating production of the parts not available in independent market;
- Distribution of car spare parts all over the world through the network of regional partners.
Polcar doesn’t create its own branches but strongly supports regional partners. Thanks to this policy Polcar never competes with its own customers.

E.E: What are the ranges of products?
A.S: Here are the main assortment groups: Body and associated parts, thermal parts, wear parts and accessories.
Inside each product group one may find dozens of other part ranges associated with the main group parts.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
A.S: We supply mostly distributors buying wide range of parts as well as companies specialized in narrow ranges of parts. Retail customers are serviced by the above mentioned professional companies.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
A.S: It seems that most of people started to spend money more sparingly and that’s why they repair their cars only if necessary. On the other hand, it is a great opportunity for the independent market, where parts are much cheaper than those offered by particular brand dealers.
The supply chain problems caused that many distributors were simply not able to offer the needed parts or sufficient quantities.
We could notice this trend during the fair Automechanika 2022 in Frankfurt, where so many visitors used to complain about their current parts suppliers. And that was the major reason why they searched the new sources of parts.
In history, it has always been the case that crises strengthened the sale of parts in the independent market, so let’s hope that this will be the case this time too.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
A.S: All spare parts for electric and hybrid vehicles like:
- radiators,
- AC compressors.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022?
A.S: All depends on the war situation. The protracted war will certainly deepen the economic and energy crisis in the world. And this, in turn, will further impoverish societies and strengthen the propensity to save – also on cars.
Consumers will rather look for cheaper parts, but if they drive less due to savings, their demand will be lower than before.
On the other hand, people looking for savings will open the door to those markets where previously more expensive original parts were preferred. Thus, the end of 2022 will bring some steady increases in turnover, while we can see quantitative increases and decreases depending on the individual markets. However, the current situation is very dynamic and any forecasts are extremely difficult.
