Interview with Namik SHUKYUROV, General Manager at POLYYARN.
Easy Engineering: What are the main areas of activity of the company?
Namik SHUKYUROV: Our company is in the production industry of the PP Multifilament FDY and ATY yarns, which are used for apparel, textiles, indutech, agrotech, mobiltech and sportech.
E.E: What’s the news about new products?
N.S: We just started the production of new range of Outdoor ATY yarns (POLYYARN Outdoor), which are mainly used for Outdoor rugs, upholstery fabrics of furniture for hotels, villas, restaurants, cafes etc. Our products have now the highest in scale 8 and 5 weathering and color fastness characteristics, what makes them one of the preferable yarns among others.
E.E: What are the ranges of products?
N.S: We produce medium to high tenacity FDY yarns, starting from finer 50 denier to the thickest 6000den, on ATY Yarns, we can go up to 25.000 den, with some specific air jets. On our ATY yarns, we can make 1,2,3 or even 4 colors mélange yarns.
E.E: At what stage is the market where you are currently active?
N.S: Market of the polymer yarns has been growing each year, because of its instinctive characteristics like excellent chemical resistance to Bacteria and Micro-organisms, specific gravity, abrasion resistance and Color fastness etc. We face many industries in everyday life where Polypropylene yarns are widely used.
E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?
N.S: Market is nowadays moving towards usage of Recycled Polypropylene yarns and also increase of usage in Outdoor applications. Especially because of the Ecological issues, now RPP is widely chosen among others, and post COVID era, where people are now visiting the outdoors to enjoy nature and stay healthy, has brought a demand for the yarns to be used in Outside applications.
E.E: What are the most innovative products marketed?
N.S: We are now in the process of producing brand new FR-Flame Retardant yarn-POLYYARN FR. These yarns are not fireproof, but have a special treatment that makes them slow-burning. This means when they are exposed to flame, the treatment will slow down the spread of fire or even self-extinguish.
E.E: What estimations do you have for the rest of 2022?
N.S: Even if The Global Polypropylene Yarn market is anticipated to rise at a considerable rate each year, some Political and Logistics issues are causing undesirable effects for the production and supply of yarns. Many of our Clients are on the ‘low energy’ mode at the moment, and most probably this will be continued until the spring of 2023- where we trust and hope that things will get much better.
